Shaking's POV
The dining hall was relatively packed today. We'd just finished the Team Battle performance, and everyone was celebrating from a job well done, and probably because of finally being relieved of all that stress.
My knees were still sore from practising the floor-sliding part of the "Mama" performance. The swelling was incredibly painful, but I told myself to brush it aside for the good of the team.
I was absently pushing my rice around in my lunch box. Today we were served thinly sliced pork belly and vegetables with rice, as well as some mapo tofu. The food here was always good, and I knew that if I didn't vigorously exercise which were required to do, I would've gained a lot of weight by now by how delicious the food was.
Nineone and Lu Keran, who I usually sat with, had gone back to their dorms already having finished their food earlier. I told them to go on without me, to go get some rest after the tiring Team Battles.
I saw a group of 4 enter the dining hall, recognising them immediately as 7Senses. Their introduction before the preliminary performances had made a deep impression on me but the girl who definitely stood out to me the most was Kiki.
Her short hair suited her perfectly, and the first time I saw her, I realised why the netizens called her the short haired goddess. Everything about her was flawless, from her visuals to her dance. All of the trainees were still shocked by her beauty, despite the fact that we'd already been on this show for so long.
Kiki was mesmerising and I had to admit I was becoming a fangirl of her.
I sank a little further down into my seat, hoping she wouldn't try to sit next to me as I didn't think I could take it. Of course, it was just my luck when after surveying the room, the short haired goddess's eyes locked onto me. She smiled one of her dazzling smiles and headed towards my table, as well as the rest of 7Senses.
I felt a blush coming to my cheeks when Kiki sat down next to me. I had never had been so close to her before, and it seemed now she was even prettier than before.
To my surprise, Kiki learned forward, enveloping me in a tight hug. From how hot my cheeks felt, I was sure I was red as a tomato right now.
"Your stage was amazing," Kiki exclaimed, while pulling away from the hug which allowed me to breathe.
Diamond's kind eyes met mine, nodding to show her agreement. "She's was a great opponent," Diamond added. When I first heard that Diamond was already in her late 20s, I couldn't believe it. 7Senses truly didn't age.
Kiki and Diamond then continued to argue about the Mapo tofu, which Kiki claimed was bland while Diamond argued that it was perfectly seasoned. In the meantime, Tako silently ate her food while Eliwa kept her head down and pretended to not know the two girls bickering beside her.
It wasn't long before Eliwa and Tako had finished their food and had headed back to the dorms to rest until Kun producer would announce our next task. Diamond meanwhile was now slightly annoyed at Kiki (thought I doubt they would be mad at each other for very long) and hence had decided to join An Qi and Shangguan Xi Ai at their table.
That meant I was left with Kiki... who probably knew by now that I had become a fangirl of her. Great.
I was a rapper. I couldn't lose my composure, especially not in front of Kiki Xu Jiaqi. I had to be cool, calm, collected with an air of swag-
Kiki slid her hand into mine and I immediately began to blush. I wasn't use to affection from other girls, but after coming to this show I got hugs constantly, and now Kiki was holding my hand which shouldn't be a big deal...
"You're a talented girl, Shaking. I look forward to collaborating with you in the future," she said. With that she flashed another one of her charming smiles and left, likely to go back to her dorms.
I'd already interacted with Kiki several times, and it still surprised me how her seemingly cool, swag demeanour contrasted her cute speaking voice.
As I finished the last of my meal, I thought about just how much I wished I could do a stage with Kiki and get to know her better. Maybe, after some time, I'd actually be able to look her in the eyes.
