Chapter 27: Wedding Bells

~Stevens Pov~
My phone buzzed and I groaned in annoyance and rolled over. My phone buzzes again. "What!" I picked up the phone to see who it was, it was Minx. The phone buzzed again, "hello?" I groaned.
"Steven where are you!?"
"What?"
"It's 7:20!"
I snapped my hear around to the click on the wall, holy shit! I over slept!! I'm late for the wedding!
"I'll be right there!" I shoved the phone into my pocket and rushed out the front door. Holy shit holy shit holy shit! I slept through the begging of the wedding! I slid into the front seat and took off, thank god Minx's house was only five minutes away. I ran to the porch trying not to stumble in the darkness as I fixed my tux. Minx swung open the door and pulled me in next to her and Max. She was wearing a pretty laced white perky dress with matching heals and held a small flower basket while max wore a tux similar tou me but with a white tie. "You're late!" Minx yelled. I caught my breath and held a finger up to her, "I know I'm sorry I uh...was still getting ready." Minx furred her thin eye brows, "Max go in and tell Adam and the others we're ready," Max nodded and walked off. Minx pulled me into a small bathroom and fixed my hair, "nervous?" Minx asked as she pulled a piece of hair back into its space. I felt myself turn pink, "ya." She adjusted my tux and smiled, "I understand, marriage can be scary," she licked her fingers and smoothed my hair, "you'll be alright, Anthony really loves you." When she was done we waited until Max came and knocked in the door, "we're ready," Minx handed me to him and smiled, "okay good luck!" She gave us a thumbs up and ran out the back doors but almost tripped in her heals. Max smiled at me and hooked his arm around mine, "Ya ready buddy?" I nodded and we opened the door. I put on a smile and looked at all of my friends sitting in white chairs looking at me. Antony stood at the end of a white carpet that was layered with white rose petals under a huge willow tree. He smiled at me warmly and I fell in love with him all over again. I smiled back nervously as Max and I started walking the carpet. The sounds of the night and small wedding bells filled my ears. Next to Anthony was Adam, Cathy, Minx, and Krism. A wave of happiness flowed over me and filled my body, this was the happiest day of my life, my wedding day. My mother would have loved this. I felt tears of joy choke at the back of my throat as Max walked me up next to Anthony. I stood in front of him and stared into his eyes and fell in love. My heart melts for him.

~Anthony's Pov~
I stared into Stevens eyes and felt our love grow again. Everyone clapped and sat down in the small plastic seats. A thin woman stepped in front of us and smiled. She started talking about why we are hear. I tuned out just staring into Stevens eyes.
"Anthony, do you take Steven to be your husband? To protect and serve him until death do you part?" At the words I smiled and looked back to Steven, "I do."
"And do you Steven take Anthony to be your husband? To protect and serve him until death do you part?"
Steven didn't answer.
Why was he hesitating?
