Bree's POV
"Have you spoken to Kathy yet?" Jahseh asked and I shook my head no. "She hasn't really spoken to anyone after that night. Melina told me that Katherine is pregnant, so she is probably struggling or fighting through this pain," I explained. "Damn that's tough," Jahseh spoke and I nodded agreeing with him.
"But I hope she's with his mom, Kathy and his mom is probably taking care of each other," I added and he nodded. "I hope so too," he replied. "How are you?" He asked me. "Still hurt but I'm getting through the day and the next," I explained. "I'll be fine now that I have you here, I don't know why I keep shutting you out," I added. "You just needed time to yourself and thats fine," Jahseh stated and I shrugged. "Well I guess," I replied.
"You know I will give you your space if you need it," he added and I nodded. "One person I know we're all worried about is Kathy," he also stated and I nodded. "I just wanna check in on her, but I'll give her as much space she wants," I spoke and nodded and wrapped his arm around me and held me close. "Its been a crazy year, y'all deserve better," he spoke.
Me and Jahseh changed the subject and started talking about what our future would look like. Then my phone started ringing and it was Melina trying to FaceTime me, I answered the phone and Melina started. "Why isn't Katherine picking up her phone, I just wanted to call and check up on her but she keep ignoring my calls, literally ALL of them, Sammy even called her and she didn't pick up, can you please try for me," she asked, I looked at Jahseh then back at her.
"Melina just give her some time, Joshua just died and she just found out about her pregnancy. Give her at least a week or two to get herself together," I replied and Melina rubbed her forehead and nodded. "Ok.." she spoke. "Anyways hows my niece?" I asked. "Annoying," she replied. "All I want is some fucking sleep" she complained.
Meanwhile with Katherine
"Thank you so much, and can you keep this house on hold for me incase I want to move back in?" I asked. "Yes, its been left in your name anyway. I guess last year when he came back in he was talking to me about you, he telling me how you were best thing that ever happened to him so he decided to add your name to the house as well, and don't worry about the bills, its already taken care of," she explained.
"Omg, thank you so much," I cried as I gave her a hug. "I'm so sorry and you welcome," she stated. "If you need anything just give me a call, I am here for you." She added and I nodded. "Did you get everything?" She asked. I turned around and took one last look at the house and started reminiscing all the memories me and Joshua shared we stayed here together. The tears continued, I fell to the ground and she came beside me caressed me, "its gonna be ok babygirl," she stated as she rubbed my back.
I got up off the ground, dusted myself off and looked at her. "I'm ready," I stated, she nodded. Closed the trunk, we got in the car and she drove off to the airport and the U-Haul truck continued its way on the road to my next destination.
Back with Bree and Jahseh
"I just don't understand how this happened," Jahseh spoke. "Basically Joshua didn't listen to Katherine at all, she told him to stop that dealing shit and he continued, he even promised her that he would stop but he continued," I explained.
"I wish this never happened, especially when she learned that she has siblings as well." I added. "Yea," Jahseh responded. "Plus I feel like, if we ever see her again, she's gonna look broken and less fun and aggressive like her usual self," he added and I nodded because I definitely agree with him on that part. Yea Kathy and Josh might have argued a lot in their relationship, but I could see and tell how much they cared for each other.
"For the most part, we should be worried about the both of you, you and Kathy both recently lost someone," Jahseh stated and I nodded.
"I'm still hurt, but I'm also hurting for Kathy. Thats my best friend and I just want to be there for her just like how she was there for me when I lost my mom," I stated.
Jahseh caressed me in his arms and kissed me on the forehead. "Let's just give her time and space, she also did that for you.. well kind of because you literally disappeared and left. But I'm glad you're back and in my arms. But yea, she'll talk when she's ready just like you did," he explained.
"We also got to look after Melina, she just gave birth to her beautiful baby girl, but women go through postpartum after their pregnancy, we have to make sure to look after her," he added and I nodded. "Bailey too, she's pregnant as well," I added.
"All of us should just look after each other period," I added on he nodded. "Definitely," he spoke.
