Alice
I hide behind my menu when I spot Mr.Owen at the table in front of me. He can't see me here. If he sees me, he'll tell my dad and I can't have that. If my dad found out I was sneaking around the city without a chaperone. Oh, the trouble I would be in, but I can't help it. I love the city and no one ever guesses who I am. They really don't know me well enough to point me out. Mr. Owen could though. I stay like that for the entire time I'm there. Mr. Owen never looks my way but I don't take any chances.
When Mr.Owen leaves I see him turn left but something catches my eye. There's a light coming from that building over there. I pay my bill and walk out of the restaurant. I pull my camera out of my bag and glance at the building the light was coming from. I zoom in and out trying to find the perfect setting. Once I find it I study the image on my screen.
"Huh?" It looks like a pipe or... a gun. I snap the photo. I put my camera away and start to head left too. Then I hear it. The sound of a gunshot or well the impact of a gunshot. Mr. Owen is laying on the ground in a pool of his blood. There's another Nobel man down. How many was that? Four? Or was it five? Whatever it was this wasn't just some strange coincidence. Someone was planning this. But who?
I walk to the body. There are already a lot of people around including a police officer.
"Everyone, please. Step back." He try's to sho everyone away. I step closer and pull my camera out. I fix the settings and "snap", photo taken. I walk away from the scene, too queasy for that much blood.
"Ow!" Someone stepped on my heels.
"Sorry." The person blurts. I turn around to find a cute guy standing there.
"It's fine. Just watch where you're going next time." He nods as I study him. The boy looks about my age. He looks like a shadow compared to me. I have blonde hair and crystal blue eyes. He has black hair and brown eyes. I breaks the silence that settle around us scared he knows who I am, "you coming to look at the body?"
"Yeah, just wanted to know if it was true."
"Oh, it is. Mr. Owen is dead. Shot straight through the chest just like the others. I wonder if it's a set up? Or if someone is planing these deaths?" I don't know why I said all that. Uhh, what is happening?
"Hmm." Is his only response. I wonder who he is?
"Hey, Leo. Are you coming or not? We got to get home." A guy older than the one in front of me is, yells. He almost sounds annoyed.
"Yeah, I'm coming." The guy in front of me yells back. So, his name is Leo.
"It was nice meeting you Leo. I'm Alice." I smile.
"You too. Maybe will meet again."
"Maybe." If you don't find out who I am.
I walk away trying to get away from the crowd. Which is stupid since I walk straight into the crowd. I can't risk anyone spotting me that might know who I am. My dad can not find out. These visits must stay a secret. At least I got some pictures, now for the hard part. Sneaking back into the Castle.
