The Original Sister
*** Chapter Sixteen ***
It was late when Ryland finally reached the car in the woods her fur was caked in mud and she still had blood on her from the night before "bloody hell love did you jump in every puddle" Klaus asked the girl while covering her with a blanket.
"No, I missed like two" she responded tiredly her human form was caked with mud as well. The original hybrid let out a soft smile "come on let get you to a hotel". She gave him a light smile and hopped in the car. The ride was short and she smiled when Klaus told her Stefan was already here and booked two rooms.
"I'm going to shower" Ryland said softly as soon as they arrived in there room Klaus nodded but remember what happen in the Appalachian mountains "love?" He asked cause the girl in the blanket to turn around.
"Why were you able to kill the hybrids?" This question bothered him. Firstly she didn't give complete control of them and second she practically led him to Rays pack but he had no idea why he was blinded by the desire for wolves.
Sighing Ryland "I knew them, along time ago before I met Elijah and in short they hurt me The only reason I left them alive is because I had to escape quickly." She looked down quickly before mumbling out "beside you part of my pack now I always protect my pack" she refuses to look up and walked off to the shower done answering questions.
She wasn't sure when Klaus became part of her pack but she felt the connection as soon as the female wolf was about to attack him in forest she knew he was hers to protect. However this was different from her pack-ship with Elijah she just couldn't explain it. Klaus on the other hand had a soft smile on his face as the flushed girl walked off to shower he was upset that she wouldn't look at him and he wasn't sure what being part of her 'pack' was about but he liked it.
Klaus was also happy that Ryland wasn't upset about sharing room he knew it was bold but he liked being close to her not to mention he's been taking care of orange cat and he would never Amit it but the creature grew on him. On cue the cat meowed rubbing against his legs "you want food don't you"

"Where are we going Nik we've been driving for hours" the blonde complained while petting bean who was sleeping on her lap. She had yet to have her coffee or even food and began to think Klaus forgot she was living and ate human food. "You'll fine out soon love" was is only responds before reaching behind her seat and grabbing a bag that's had food in it and a thermos that contain her coffee. "But when?" She asked stupidly.
He shrugged "Stefan got it" she nodded appreciative before look at the vampire in the back seat "thank you Stefan." He gave her a simple nod. Silence once again filled to car as she ate and sipped her coffee. She of course tempted to turn on the radio several times but Klaus swatted her hands at this point she would choose Elijahs audio books over this. Finally her prayer to satan have been answered. Klaus pulled over next to and old warehouse in some random city. "Do you remember it" Klaus said enthusiastically.
"Chicago? your hybrids failed why are we still with you" Stefan said gesturing to a silent Ryland who was holding her cat. This cause Klaus to put and arm over her shoulders and pull her close to him "firstly we're here to find out why my hybrids failed secondly why Ryland with me is none of your concern" with that the trio walked a block away to an old bar. Ryland looked around "god this place must have been built in the 20s"
A pretty dark tone women appeared behind the bar "it was built in 1918 sugar" the witch could feel the power radiating of the blonde girl and was intrigued until she saw who she was with.
"I remember you your Gloria" the ripper said small memories coming back "shouldn't you be uhhhh.."
"Dead" Gloria said with a laugh. "If I dead who will run this place" she continued looking around the bar.
Klaus finally spoke up "Gloria is a very powerful witch" Ryland already knew that she could feel the power just like she knew Gloria could feel hers but it connected a lot of dots for Stefan. Klaus looked from Ryland to Stefan "why don't you two fix us something behind the bar." Causing Ryland to hold back a scoff.
Once the duo were behind the bar Klaus and Gloria sat down by a table "the girl who is she" the witch asked curiously.
"She is none of your concern" the hybrid respond protectively. "Well whatever she is she powerful I suggest you keep her by your side"
"Enough of the girl I want to know why my hybrids aren't working. Klaus growled.
Ryland knew Stefan was listening to the Conversation but chose to ignore it and look at the wall of pictures behind him until she caught a surprising picture. "Stefan did you know Klaus?" The girl not bothering to hide her curiosity.
"You mean before he sacrificed my girlfriend? No" the vampire responded rudely. Cleaning the glasses before he poured the alcohol.
"You sure about that" she said while pointing behind him. Stefan looked "what the hell" and took off toward Klaus and the witch.
"What the hell is this" Stefan said to the hybrid who was finishing up his conversation. "This is me with you" the ripper said dumb founded.
"Ah yes fond memories, come Ryland were leaving" Ryland jumped off the bar stool a little upset he was being called like a dog.
The whole way back to the warehouse was a long one Stefan would not stop pestering Klaus about how they knew each other. Finally the hybrid caved explaining that Stefan use to know his sister and him back in the 20s.
That didn't satisfy Stefan but he was quiet for the time being. While they enter to the storage unit that contained five coffins Ryland knew instantly which one was Elijah it was decorated with a beautiful E and M. How easily she could free Elijah from the pain of the dagger but her promise held her back.
Klaus lifted up the coffin with R.M revealing a beautiful blonde. With little effort Klaus removed the dagger. "I don't remember her" Stefan said looking at the blonde in the 20s clothing.
"I wouldn't tell her that her temper is worse than mine" the hybrid said setting the dagger down. Klaus soon decided he'll take Stefan on a trip to his old apartment next to and all girls school. He tried to get Ryland to go but she refused.
"Fine love but watch out my sister can be dangerous." Ryland nodded and waited for the boys to leave "finally bean will have peace and quiet" Ryland was on Elijah coffin sketching nothing particular when she heard movement. Setting her book down she looked around "hello"
With in seconds she was pushed against a concrete wall "ah the pretty ones always taste the best"
