The Destroyer ***Chapter Twenty-Two ***
Ryland wasn't sure what led her to this moment but she was almost regretting until she heard the cries of Niklaus the man she was slowly falling for. She could believe those bastards would use someone's abusive father against them. She shook off her thoughts knowing she needed to stay focused and the damn wolf hybrids holding her against her will wasn't helping. Her body was already burning through the poison Mikel had to know it would last long, maybe he was looking for another fight. Kill his son and then the bastard he couldn't kill years ago swell just swell! "Come out and face me Niklaus" Mikeal yells!
"He doesn't have to" I yelled alerting them of my presence. Niks eyes widened in fear while his father grinned sinisterly.
"Ah if it is the bastard queen I didn't get a chance to kill years ago. But I did slaughter your whole family and you can join them as soon as I'm done with my son here"
I felt a scoff leave my lips " the only person that's going to die tonight is you" my eyes began to glow as I felt my anger heat up before I could react. The doppelgänger threw verine bombs at Mikeal. Aren't they trying to kill Nik? Why the hell are they creating a distraction? Before I had time to process everything Klaus was on the ground Damon attempting to push the white oak stake into his heart. "NIK!" I shouted! Kicked the bitch that was holding me back. Running full speed to the original hybrid. Not noticing Mikeal getting recovering. Before I could make it into the house I was pulled back my by hair.
Mikeal said, holding me by the throat whispering into my ear. "Oh little wolf I'm going to enjoy this" I felt chills going up my whole spine, he was the only man beside my father that I feared. I glanced back at Nik who now had the upper hand. He was in the door frame debating his actions. The grip he held on the white oak was intense, he could probably high tail it out of here and be fine if he really wanted to but the look in his eye told me otherwise. "Your fight is with me, Father leave the girl alone" he yelled.
"Your impulse Niklaus. Always kept you from being great" I'm pretty sure as far as compliments go that was the best Nik was going to get from daddy dearest. "Now come out and face me or she dies" I felt his hand move to my chin preparing to snap it.
"No no Nik get out of here" i begged I couldn't no I wouldn't be his downfall. Mikeal chuckled form behind me "Now this is something seem the little bastard cares for you Niklaus shame to kill the last person whoever will"
Before I could stop myself I used my elbow in a pathetic attempt to get free. Come on Ryland you've beaten this man before. Taking a deep breath. "Once again mikeal you underestimated the bastard child" the air began to whip around us . Shocking the bystanders "now as much as I'd love to be the one that ends you that's a job for your son" Using the last bit of strength I had I used the air pinning him in place "Now Nik" I knew I could hold him much longer. The toxin was still in my system.
"Goodbye father just know you finally got bested" Klaus smirked before shoving the stake into his heart. The moment was short lived as I felt myself slipping away. "Nik" I gasped before my eyes fluttered shut.
"I got you love I got you" warmness flooded through me finally feeling safe. "Go ahead sleep"
