Coffins ***Chapter Twenty-Three *** Klaus
I watch her from the edge of the bed, her chest slowly going up and down the only other signs of life where her heart beat it was steady and strong. Unlike the last time she was unconscious it was sporadic. I sighed hating that this was my fault her pain, twice in a matter of weeks she's lied unconscious in a hotel room from my actions. And yet she chooses to forgive me. I'm not sure what I've done to deserve it but I appreciate it nonetheless. Now that Mikeals gone I can awake my siblings, something that I've been waiting to do for decades. However the little blonde will leave me.
"Nik" she gasped springing up on the bed wide eyed looking around before her eyes fell on me. She immediately smiled launching her body on to mine. She pulled back giving me a once over "Thank god you're okay" she beamed before throwing herself back on to me. I felt the heat on the tips of my ear but I had to Amit it felt nice having someone care if I lived or died.
"Sweetheart I should be asking you that you were the one that got stabbed." I said tightening my grip around her waist.
"Wasn't the first time probably won't be the last"she mumbled into my neck. Before releasing her grip on my neck. "Although remind me to kill the Salvatores will you?"
"Never mind that are you ready to meet my family ?" I asked slightly anxious.
"Yes!" She launched at me again. A smile made its way onto my face I think I love this girl.
A quick shower and Ryland was ready, she was sipping her latte as we pulled up to where my siblings were located. Nervousness flooded my stomach as it always did when I woke them up. I know the hated me but I was always convinced I had a reason. Finn hated our existence, kol was in plot to murder me, Elijah attempted to murder me, and Rebekah conspired with the Salvatore's. "Nik" Ryland said grasping my hand getting my attention. "It will be fine and if not I suppose a few more years in a box will teach them some manners" I knew for a fact she wouldn't let me dagger them again, but I appreciate her attempt to lighten the mood.
I nodded heading to the trailer I was hauling them in when my phone began to ring. "Ah Stefan missing me already?"
"You know enjoying my freedom" he said making me pause.
"Well I like to think I'm a man of my word more or less" Ryland stopped behind me listening to the conversation since something was wrong.
"The problem is it came at too much of a cost" I raised my eyebrows at the Salvatore and began to walking to the trailer once more.
"For a man that's been ten steps ahead I bet you didn't see this coming" I froze gritting my teeth and the empty trailer. Bloodily hell!
"I will kill you and everyone you met" I growled as Ryland ripped the phone from my hand. "Stefan you better be far away from mystic falls because when I get my hands on you you're going to wish Klaus killed you" she said calmly before crushing my phone in her hand.
