Ruby Rose was a beautiful young girl with a very rare trait of silver eyes as they opened wide from her dream. She sighed and relaxed herself to the sound of her stupid alarm clock. Although, it was a good rock song to wake up to. She ran her hand through her ebony hair after she rubbed her eyes.

She shut off her alarm that was on her scroll then sat herself up from her bed. She extended her arms up and yawned with a stretch. She looked out her window and sighed once she finally got out of bed. She wore a red spaghetti strap shirt and black shorts as her pajamas.

She picked up her scroll to look at the time but then a reminder showed up on the screen. She smiled at herself when she remembered...
"Happy Birthday Ruby", she said to herself, as she got dressed for work.
She got into her waitress outfit because that was her job. She is a waitress at the breakfast restraunt called "Boop".

She walked downstairs and smiled as she took a deep breath to smell the breakfast that her mother was making. She could smell every single little thing she was making like runny eggs, bacon, and sausage...
She also sighed when she heard the toddler of the family and her little brother, named Henry, crying. When she finally made her way to the kitchen, she poured herself a cup of coffee.
"There's our Birthday girl..." a woman with long red hair walked over to Ruby but then looked at her outfit before sighing. "Your working?"

"It's only a couple of hours", Ruby said to her mother as she poured some cream in her coffee. "I only work morning shifts anyway. Where's the sugar?"
The woman showed her the big glass container of sugar. She heard a door close and out came a man with black hair and emerald eyes. He seemed like a imitating man with that scar over his eye, but she was the nicest guy that Ruby knew.

"Oh Ruby..." he sighed as he put his sheriff pendent on his shirt. "I wish you didn't go to work today. It's your eighteenth birthday."
"Oh yeah..." a thirteen year old girl sat down on the couch and rolled her eyes.
She looked like her Mother but when it came to personality, she was nothing like her.
"It's all about her isn't it?"
"Fiona", her mother gave her a serious tone, "knock it off."

Fiona wasn't always like this, espeically when Ruby was younger. For some reason, after she became thirteen, something in her changed. Maybe it was a rebellious stage for a teenager. Ruby missed the days when she was nice to everyone and was the most curious out of the litter.

She just sighed and went back to her room. Ruby couldn't help but flinch a little when she heard the door slam. She is also been trying to figure out what changed her, so was her Mother.
"What kind of cake would you like dear?" Her mother asked.

"Chocolate duh?" Ruby joked with a big smile, making her Mother laugh and forgetting her worries about her pup. They may seem like a very normal family with their own problems and dramas, but they were actually something that the public thought that they got rid of from the world a long time ago; Wolves. Hiding in plain sight within hunanity, and most of the time, it kept them alive. Although, there were still some things they couldn't hide.

"Ruby!" A fifteen year old who was another one of Ruby's littermates walked over and hugged her. "Happy Birthday Sis!"
When Fiona looked like her Mother, Molly looked just like her Father without the scars. She mostly loved to read books, but she loved to take charge when she's baby sitting.

"Thanks Molly", Ruby said as she hugged her back.
"We better get going Ruby", her Father said as he grabbed his keys for the car.
"Be careful Alex", her Mother gave him a quick kiss on a cheek and hug.
"I will Aurora", he smiled back and gently cupped her cheek, "I promise."

Ruby hopped in with him and buckled up her seatbelt. In all honesty, she didn't want much for her birthday this year. Her Father was sheriff of Vale, which pretty much keeping everyone at bay. Everyone meaning the Wolves.
