Her mother refuse to tell them nor give them a clue on what the letter said.
"Did you hear about the letter the King sent his messenger to give to each family in this village?" Saylin ask the group. She had been dying to know what the letter said. Majida's ear perks up.
"Yup." Kacey answers, he bets none of their parents allow them to see the letter. And he was right, he couldn't wait to tell them. "We--" Kacey got cut off by one of the guards.
"Get to your homes. Now!" the guard bellows. His mask hides his face. They quickly scurry home, curiosity about the letter grew stronger.

"Momma, what is going on?" Majida questions her mother, curiosity shines in her voice. She looks at her mother who is quickly packing their essentials. "Are we moving?" she ask still not quite sure what's going on.
"Majida go and pack the clothes you need. Nothing that will not be of use to you." Rehema orders her daughter."Robbie will help you." she finish leaving no room for an argument. Majida feels that something is wrong, but her mother won't budge. And Majida knows when her mother doesn't want to talk about it she ignores it at all cost.
