I know some of you may think you know my story but you must have me confused with someone else. I am not Wendy, the girl Peter first adventured and fell in love with. I'm far from ever being her. Instead, my name is Allie.

I was girl who knew nothing of Neverland except through fairytales told by my parents who heard them from my grandmother's best friend. We heard numerous stories about the boy who never grew up.

As I grew older, I began telling my own stories to my two brothers and little sister. The oldest of the brothers, Matthew, he listened intently and often acted out the stories with me. We fought with wooden swords and mixed some princess fairytales with them, making our own version of the stories.

Our youngest brother, Joshua would often jump on the bed with his favorite stuffed elephant and cheer one of us on. My little sister Abigail, Abby for short, would toddle around and suck her thumb. She would drag her blankie around the room and often sit by the doll house or Nana.

This night was just like any other. I was telling a story and Matthew and I would act it out for the entertainment of Josh and Abby. Josh was jumping on the bed, cheering Matthew on as his sword clashed with mine. I jumped out of the way as he ran at me and he ran into the bookshelf.

Books fell to the floor and our dog nurse, Nana, lifted her head up to see what the commotion was about. While doing so, she turned her head toward the window and began barking at it.

We dropped our swords out of surprise and went to the open window. We looked down at the ground, and up at the sky. Nobody was there.

"Do you think Nana was imagining things when she barked at the window Matthew?" I asked as we put away our toys and settled into bed.

"No, she probably just saw a bird or something, maybe a squirrel, which doesn't seem right since it's snowing outside," he replied.

"I guess you're right. It may have just been a simple animal," I shrugged but I wasn't too sure myself.

Our mother walked into the room in her nightgown holding a candle. She went around lighting the small lanterns that served as our nightlights.

"Mother, do you think dogs can imagine things or do you think any small animals are running about?" I asked, propping myself up on my elbow.

She lit the last light then shook out the match and sat on the end of my bed.

"I don't know darling, dogs are wonderous and curious creatures. They might see or notice things that humans don't. Little animals are hibernating this time of year. It's too cold for them to be out and about. Just try not to worry your precious head about it. Goodnight dear," she said and kissed my forehead. She stood up and left the room, quietly closing the door behind her.

I flopped back onto my pillows and stared at the ceiling. I pulled the blankets up a little then closed my eyes. I dreamed about what could've possibly made Nana bark at the window. It may have been a bird, or a simple shadow of someone walking down the street, which didn't seem likely.

Right before I fell alseep, I felt a small sliver of hope pass through my brain that it may have been the boy who never grew up himself, Peter Pan.

Soooooo..... this is my new story. I'm sorry to inform you, if you didn't know already, I deleted my other stories. I just became swamped with writer's block and didn't know what to write.

So, I hope you like this story more, especially all you Peter Pan people out there.

I'm still deciding if I want to put some chapters in Peter's POV or not. Tell me if you want that but until then, I'll continue writing in Ally's POV.

AND, I'm sticking to Nana's name since it just fits.

Thanks for reading! ~CiCi
