Y/N's (insert parental guardians) decided to move to Plainview. Of course, Y/N protested but as much as she disliked the idea, her parents told her it was for her own good. The long car ride to their destination was absolutely excruciating due to Y/N's shenanigans. "Y/N, you're not a baby anymore! Please just be quiet." your (female parental guardian) groaned. Your (male parental guardian) turned around with his hands still on the wheel as the road was straight ahead. "Yeah, stop pestering your (female parental guardian)." You crossed your arms as your leg shook profusely. Your eyebrows were furrowed and you were visibly agitated. "But I don't have any friends here!" you retorted.

"Y/N, you were picked on for years and the education there was expensive and horrible." your parents spoke matter of factly. Hours passed and you had finally arrived at your house. It was a medium sized house, which you were not too fond of. "This is going to be hell." you grumbled as you dragged your feet all the way into your new house. You looked around to see that some of your old furniture was already placed in as well as some other appliances and electronics you haven't seen before. Boxes were scattered around the room but your zoning out was interrupted by a knock on the door. You snapped your head around, confused at why someone would be knocking at your door within the span of 3 minutes of you moving in.

"(parental guardian)" you called out. "Yes?" they sung from the other room. "There's someone at the door." you replied, looking at your phone. "Go get the door then." they ordered. You groaned and stomped up to the door, opening it to reveal a middle aged woman who wore black glasses, a young boy with dark brown hair and an older boy who wore black eyeliner and had messy dark brown hair. You stared at them with confusion "Can I help you?" you said slowly. "Ah! We couldn't help but notice you just moved in!" she sung, happily. She looked over to her older son. "Rodrick, she looks to be around your age. Why don't you two hang out?" she then looked over to her younger son. "Let's go meet her parents, uh sweetie, do you mind calling your parents for me, please?" she patted her son's head "Greg, hold out the pie, please." she gritted through her teeth.

He huffed and readjusted his sleeves, obliging. Rodrick looked at you awkwardly, his hands stuffed in his pockets. "Hi." he said quietly. You nodded and waved him off, indicating you were inviting him and his family into the kitchen. "(parental guardians)!" you called out. You heard footsteps coming towards the kitchen, your parent's emerging into the room, a large, warm and welcoming smile on their faces. "Hello!" your (female parental guardian) greeted. Rodrick's mom held out her hand for them to shake, "Hello! I'm Susan, Susan Heffley." your parents took her hand and shook it. "I brought you guys a pie to say hello!" she smiled, slightly nudging her son to hand it to them.

You looked over to Rodrick, "Wanna go upstairs?" you suggested. He nodded profusely and walked out the room and up the stairs. You followed in suit, confused at why he was quick to move. You lead him into your bedroom and sat him down onto the bed. "Soo, what's your name, again?" you asked. He raised his eyebrows "Eh, Rodrick, you?" You nodded "Y/N." you smiled. Rodrick felt his face heat up. "That's a pretty name." he muttered. "What?" you questioned. "Nothing." he retorted. You shrugged, not thinking much of it. "I didn't wanna move here in the first place." you sighed. He looked over at you, confused.

"I had at least a small friend group back there in my old town, but now I've gotta start all over again." you continued, looking down. Rodrick stood up and walked up close to you "Hey, it's okay! I could be your friend and I'll introduce you to my other friends." he reassured. A small smile appeared on your face. "Heh, thanks I guess, but who said they'd like me?" you asked, unsure. "Trust me, you seem like you'd be pretty popular." he smirked. "Besides," he continued "You're pretty cute." he said, scratching the back of his neck. You felt your cheeks glow a crimson red. "What? No i'm not." you said, looking away.

Rodrick grabbed your face, forcing you to look at him in his brown eyes. You stared into them with your (e/c) ones, almost hypnotized. He slowly leaned in to kiss you but your little moment was interrupted with his mom walking in. "Rodrick! It's time to go, it's getting late." she smiled and looked over to you. "Thanks for having us, sweetheart." she then left the room. Rodrick groaned and looked over to you. "I'll see you another time, I guess." he kissed your cheek. "Bye, Y/N." he waved you off as he left the room, leaving you dumbfounded. "Damn." you mouthed.

"Perhaps Plainview isn't too bad."
