"Mary you lazy fuck, you're late for school!!" I flung out of bed to the sound of my oldest sibling yelling from upstairs. I rubbed my head in frustration, I couldn't stop thinking about whatever the fuck hit my window last night.
"God this is giving me a wicked ass headache, I should get some water," I walk out of my room and into the bathroom to get a glass of water (yeah I drink tap cause I don't give a fuck). Before I even walked into the bathroom I just knew something was off. I walk in and as I reach to turn the light on I hear some splashing coming from the bathtub. "WHAT THE FUCK, WHO IS IN HERE?" I quickly turned on the lights just in time to see what seemed to be a large, black fish tail in the bathtub. Freaked out, I backed out on the wash room and fell to my knees. What was going on, was I still dreaming? I pinch myself, nope not a dream... unless I pinched myself in the dream! God, I'm going crazy. I get off my knees and slowly creep back into the bathroom, I get to the bathtub and of course, just as I thought there was no water. "Maybe it was my head that hit the window last night.." I mumble to myself before I get on with my day.
I shook off the crazy bathtub incident and was soon off to school. Of course since everything had to go to shit in my life it was pouring outside and I had a 20 minute walk to get through. Although it was a little far, I still enjoyed walking to school. The walk is normally only 15 minutes but I love to take the little detour through the forest, and already being late to school was not going to stop me from doing the same today. Although it was pouring rain I didn't bother to grab an umbrella, the feeling of the rain hitting my skin was like my form of therapy.
It was as soon as I stepped into the small forest that the strange feelings came. Although it's so cliche I felt as if someone was watching me. I attempted to shake the feeling away but that when things got weird. First out of nowhere I saw what seemed to be a sparkly blob flying right past my face, then I swear to god that I saw the ass of a horse. I shook my head and slapped my face "stop imagining things you're just sleep deprived." and that's when I saw her. A tall blond woman, which was perfectly normal....aside from her elvish clothing and POINTED EARS.
Fed up with my own imaginative bullshit I ran as fast as I could the rest of the way to school. School was the same as always, I stayed quiet and minded my own business as my classmates did the opposite. It was lunch now and I had gone up to the rooftop to have some peace and quiet. It seemed as if the clouds decided to have a little mercy on me as it had stopped raining for the time being. But of course the skies had something else to offer me. Just as lunch was finishing up a huge shadow cast over the school. Assuming it was just a cloud I brushed it off but in the corner of my eye as I walked inside I saw the tip of what seemed to be a dragon wing. I froze on the spot, it was almost as if I was petrified. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath "it was just a cloud, nothing else," I whispered to myself over and over again as I began to walk back inside.
I walked down the stairs and to my locker to put my lunch away "sup ghost fucker," one my idiotic peers yelled in my direction. I turned around to fight back but at that moment I saw what looked to be a peer of mine glitch and for a moment they were a giant monster of sorts. My eyes widened in fear and suddenly my stomach started to turn. I slammed my locker shut and ran to the bathroom, ignoring the laughs of my peers.
I splashed water on my face and looked in the mirror. It was obvious I hadn't slept at all the night before, the bags under my eyes were more prominent than usual and my whole appearance looked thrown together. I gripped the edges of the sink and took deep breaths, I washed out my mouth, shook my head and walked out to continue on with my day.
The rest of school was fine and there were no more imaginary incidents, at least not until I walked home. Although I do enjoy rain it was fortunately sunny when I walked home, more light means less weird ass visions, I hoped. I had decided to not walk through the forest while going home but instead took the route through the houses. I was almost home when suddenly a cold chill overcame my whole body and then I saw it. A shadowy figure with what seemed to have horns in the corner of my eye. But this time instead of freezing up I ran as fast as I fucking could back home.
I got home and immediately locked myself in my room. Hours passed and I finally felt safe, that's when that dreadful knock on the back door came. I knew it was weird for someone to come to the back instead of the front, but my dumbass still opened the damn door. Standing there was a full on fucking witch, pointy hat and everything. Just as I thought nothing could get worse she opened her mouth, "you called?" she said.
And suddenly everything went black.
