My Demons are Worse

Unexpected Events

First year's now officially getting mission. Hallelujah I say. I walk with Leora as she drags me to the mission board. "Okay Leora, what's the rush" I say sorting out my coat. She huffs and points to a mission near the bottom of the list. I take a look at the mission objectives and I see why she wants to go. 'Extreme levels of Grimm close to Vale border to Vacuo. Eliminate all threats in mission zone.' I grin like a maniac as I select it and input our our team which to our joy it gets accepted.

I laugh knowing why this happened. "Oz made this mission available to us only because of, you know." I say pointing to myself and her which gets a giggle from the Undead Queen. "Come on, Casanova we leave in 20 minutes." She says as we make our way to the bulkhead docks. On the way I separate from Leora and run into Cinder and Ruby talking whilst exchanging quick jabs at each other. "Well, if it isn't my red reaper and sexy fall maiden." I say which gets a blush from both of them. "Dialon, don't say that in the open!" Cinder says stammering like she did when she was embarrassed back in the orphanage. "Sorry, couldn't help it. Anyway, what mission you got." I say and Cinder calms herself. "We're going on the same mission, recon work near mountain Glenn. White Fang are stationed there and we plan to stop them." Cinder explains in a formal manner. "Cool, me and Leora got extermination mission at Vale border. You can guess why." I remark and Ruby nods giggling a bit.

"Dialon! Hurry Up! I can already smell the terror from here" I hear Diablo yell in my head. "Anyway, gotta go. Good luck" I say and warp to the docks. Leora is there with a grouchy face on her. "Look, got sidetracked talking with Ruby and Cinder." I say trying to defuse the situation but she grabs me by the ear and drags me onto the bullhead. "Focus, we got a mission to do" She says as the door closes and we set off. An hour later I can sense the sheer level of Grimm nearby and it is daunting. "Well, at least we won't get bored." I say out loud getting a nod from the demons and Leora. It bullhead doors open and the intercom plays. "This is as far as we go, rendezvous at the village 4 miles from here in 24 hours" the pilot yells as we jump.

Luckily an Ursa cushions my fall as I kill it instantly. I look to see Leora entering her true form and hitting the ground hard. "Hahahahahaha, It has been long since these old bones wreaked havoc" she says as she fixes any damages done to herself. "Ditto" I say as I draw Rebelion from my back. "Alright, let's give this a shot" I say as I charge a Grimm. I pour demonic power into the blade as it glows red. I cut the Beowulf clean in half as it burns to ashes. I turn around to look at The Mad Queen as she launches a Beringel into the sky. "Well, this won't take long" I say as we march into the forest.

*5 hours later*

After 5 hours of pure destruction we sit in a clearing, Leora in her human form again taking a break as we have already killed hundreds if not thousands of Grimm. "We were given a day to do this. I think we may already be done." I say as I lay down on the grass and get a nod from the Queen as she cleans her mace. "Yep, didn't help that your new weapons seemingly kill Grimm instantly." She retorts and I stop to make a rebuttal. "Your hammer nearly caused a landslide." I say look ing at her deadpan. "Touché" She says simply as we laugh. I close my eyes enjoying the feeling of freedom I have when I get hit with an invisible force.

My eyes shoot open and I jump to my feet. "Mephisto, What was that?" I ask the Prime Evil only to get growls from every demon. "That would be Salem, it seems we are near her lair." He says which gets me to snarl. "Is that... Salem" Leora asks as she rises to her feet, Undead magic swirling around her. "Yep, we're close to her." I say simply as my body ignites and my eyes glow red. Looking around I see a barrier and I go to it. I take a deep breath in and roar right at it shattering the barrier revealing a dark and twisted land in front of me. Leora comes next to me and looks upon the castle as well. "What say we pay her a little visit?" I say as I march in the direction of the castle.
