Where Am I?

Waking up in a cold, wet, sharp floor is the worse bed anyone can ask for. I open my eyes, quickly realizing I'm not in my room. I close my eyes again and try to go back to sleep. Maybe I'm dreaming?

But I'm not.

I keep my eyes closed and try to remember what happened. And all I can think of is Carla's face. Where is she?

'You've seen to much.'

For your info Carla I haven't seen a thing. And if you put me here we are so not friends anymore. I open my eyes again and look around. The walls are rocky and sharp, shining too. I only have a candle as my light source.

That's oddly convenient. But I pick it up and hopefully I could use it. The hot wax burns my skin but I hold the candle tighter. If I drop this I could lose the only light I have. Now I may have this light as a blessing or a curse, I will use it as a blessing.

Either way I have to get out of here. It's getting really cold. I hold the candle in front of me and start walking, cornering around the cave and making sure there is only one sure exit.

The walls are black and blue and completely rock. They shine like someone has gone crazy with glitter and they have lines like a renaissance painting. It looks like a cave, I don't know much about caves, only that bears live in them.

I halt to a stop. Bears.

If I come across one I'm dead. Like really dead. I can't stand up against a bear and if I run, where? Oh my goodness bullies are nothing compared to bears!

I breathe in and out. I need to calm down, freaking out won't help me. I pick up the pace but there is no light at the end of this way I'm going. It feels like a really long hallway.

I turn around and see only more darkness. And I've never been scared of the dark before but now, not knowing an end or beginning from here is petrifying.

I'm starting to hear noises. Similar to those I heard when I was running from the eeriness in the woods. Like if I turn around again I have no chance to turn back toward a possible exit.

"PPSSSST!" A loud whisper echos in the cave.

I crap my pants (metaphorically) and start jogging. I don't realize the candle almost blows out with my sudden movements but I become more and more aware of it the louder my surroundings get. All I can think of is 'Don't turn around. Dont turn around. Dont turn around. DON'T TURN AROUND.'

And I listened to myself. I started to run when I felt a tug on my hair. If someone was really there they'd come after me, if they catch me I can try my best running in a straight line as fast as I can.

Unknown arms wrap around me and I'm lifted off the ground. I screech the most deafening sound I can make. I turn my torso and slam the candle to the unfamiliar face.

I couldn't see it for long but it was a horrible looking face- monstrous even. But I couldn't stand there and judge. The hot wax stunned him enough that I got free from his grasp and ran straight forward to the darkness.

I can't see where I'm going. I'm breathing, heaving, and loosing my breath but I cannot stop. My little legs can only take my so far, I straighten my back and feel a little wind. Hopefully I can run for longer that way. I breath and breath until my lungs burn. I'm afraid to slam into something but there's no light!

Am I running to an end or no end? I don't know what is chasing me but he might not be fast enough to catch me? I pick up the pace. Adrenaline is coursing through me and all my focus is on the darkness in front of me. The path before was mostly straight and if I run into something it's over.

But then I see it. The tears that barely form in my eyes don't blur the light that's getting brighter. My exit is so close. I run faster, I feel like my legs are about to break.

I reach out my hand to feel as though I can grab the light, but the wind is suddenly knocked out of me. The horrible looking monster is staring me down with anger.

I wrestle and thrash as best I could but I'm no match for him. He binds my hands together with rope, and drags me away from the light toward the left. We're getting farther away from my exit and I couldn't let that happen.

"Let me go!" I pull my hands and try to break free, "Leave me alone! AHHHHH!" I scream and thrash, hopefully my screams annoy him enough he sets me free or someone finds me.

"Shut up!" He kicks my mouth and a tooth fell out.

I recovered from the kick surprisingly quick enough to fight again, "Let me GO!" I finally stand and run with him a little. He walks the same speed I run, how did I get to run for so long?

I'm running with him and kick him behind the knees. He does the scorpion fall which would be hilarious in any other circumstance. I kick the front of his elbows and try to release my bind from him. He sits on the ground but never let go of my bonded hands.

I kick and fight but realize he is just staying there, like my hits aren't doing anything.

"Are you done little girl?" He asks with an odd accent.

"No!" I defiantly bite his hand and he doesn't even flinch.

He stands now towering over me, "Yes you are." He picks me up and suddenly throws me into a pit.

I couldn't hear his last words as I was screaming to my doom.

Falling through the dark pit had dramatically changed to a yellow viney swamp area. A body of water is below me I could only hope its deep enough to break my fall. I try to break free from the rope but is useless. I hold my breath before I break the surface of the water.

I sink under to the murkey green lake.
