I'm glad no one was near when I got off the table because I made a huge mess jumping spadtasticly off of it. I landed on all fours and screamed pretty loudly, my body flared up in pain and I look down at myself noticing all the honey I had on my wounds.
I check my wounds out and feel grateful that the doc stitched me up, but if I was gonna die anyway there is no point on trying to recover my self.
Oh right my foot! I think jumping off the table might've cracked it. But it's way better than before. What ever they did to it must've worked because it seemed completely broken from what I remember. I look around the odd room and see honey, my stomach is growling.
I grab the honey jar and consume the life out of it. I notice the medical tools on the table next to where the honey was. I grab the sharpest tool they had and put it in my pocket. But it wasn't there.
I look down and notice I have a different set of clothes on. A folded tank top that exposes my stomach. I have bandages all over my torso.
The bottoms I had were made of... bear fur? And it was more of a skirt than pants. Where are my clothes? I have my rope- eggshells- they may not be important but that's all I had!
I frantically check the trash bin and it only contains bloody cloths, string and nothing of use. I make a mess in the room while I look for my things but I don't feel like cleaning it up or acting like a lady right now. They know I'll be gone and go looking for me, if I leave a mess maybe they clean it up before telling Arthur.
I couldnt find my clothes and I needed something like a pocket. I empty the bag from the trash bin and discard the bloody cloths. I fill the bag with bandaids, alchohol, honey and anything essential for survival once I leave. The table I laid on had a strong giant leaf, so I took it.
I had no pockets and the sharp medical tool was too small for the bag, I would definetly loose it. I braided it between my hair and hope it doesnt fall out through the thin strands. I was about to step out when I realize I need shoes.
After a long while of looking through the cabinets, I find tissue boxes, it was good enough. I put my feet in the holes and walk out looking like a medical bum. I have no idea how the fur is hanging on me but I won't mess with it. Whatever they did to it I wasn't awake to know so I won't be able to fix it if I break it.
I silently walk down a trail with the giant leaf in one hand and the trash bag in another hand. I spot the tall tree that I wanted to go to before the hospital visit. I twist the top of the bag letting no air get into it. I bite down on the smallest twists and move the bag around my neck and let it rest on my other shoulder. I maintain my back and shoulders as balanced as possible.
I bend the leaves of the giant stem and create somewhat on a band. I fold the leaf in half and hold it with my left hand. I remove the twisted top of the trash bag and hold it with my right hand. The horn blows again. I speed up my pace and keep my eyes on the tall tree.
After a while I hear shouting and chatter from a distance, I break for it.
I know I can't outrun anyone because I got caught by that weird man before. The tree I'm heading too is not that far, I can almost make it.
But if I climb it and they see me it's over. I stop at the nearest tree and quickly put my leaf in the trash bag. I twist and grip it between my teeth just like before and climb this thick tree.
I had to run up it because the closest branch was too high to hold on to from the root. I hastily stood a few places from the tree and ran to it, running up and jumping to grip the first branch. I kept climbing until I was hidden between the leaves. I sat with my legs straight on a thick branch, placed the bag on my furry skirt and grasped two branches with lots of leaves. I held them close to me as a camouflage.
The time has gone by and I heard footsteps constantly approaching, retreating and running. I'm not sure if they saw me, "Have you found her yet?" An unfamiliar voice asked.
"No, I check east now while the Polars check north."
The guy snickered, "They always check there."
The conversation ended and I heard similar conversations and more footsteps as the day went on. Soon it got dark and I could tell it was l night fall, it was really quiet. I havent seen the night in so long. I admired the moonlight and stars above, I wonder if I'll get to see them again. I decide to wait until light, and I don't think it'll be smart to move on the ground anymore. From today's conversations there are ALOT of people here and they're all looking for me.
I quietly open the trash bag and eat the honey I had as quietly as I could. I put bandaid and gauze on areas that opened while I climbed the tree. I checked my hair for the sharp tool, and to my surprise it's still there.
I remove the tool from my hair and examine it, it can't do much but it's pretty sharp so maybe I'll improvise if I stay a long time here. I put it down on my lap and let my hair down. Of all the parts in my body, I give my scalp a massage.
I rebraid my hair tightly, using honey and string to keep it together. I put the medical tool between the braids, so it's more accessible when I need to use it.
I stretch my arms and back as best I could to stay balanced. I tried my best to sleep but I was too scared of falling down. Daybreak came in no time, and I got ready to move.
