Chapter 3- Long Time No See

The classroom reeked of old textbooks and the faint scent of sweat. Everyone was busy scribbling down notes about compounds and chemical formulas for their test next week. Eunseo pursed her lips, letting out a slight sigh. She loosely gripped her pen whilst the other was supporting her resting chin.

"This is so boring...." she grunted, tapping her pen on the table.

She emmited a low growl from the back of her throat, as the tapping of her pen slowed down.

"That's why I said lets do biology but you said no." Stephanie whispered, her gaze fixed on the chalkboard.

Eunseo ignored her and continued to fill the corner of her exercise book with endless doodles.

"I wonder how the new guy was doing..." Taehyung was his name if she remembered it correctly. It was a shame that they weren't in the same class for anything... At least that's what she thought.

"I hope he hasn't lost his way..." she muttered under her breath. Stephanie stared at her for a second then back.

"Who?"

"J-Just some guy that was new here. He lost his way so he asked m-me for directions." She tried to answer the question with much disinterest as possible.

Stephaine slowly nodded her head, and without a saying a word she punched Eunseo's upper arm.

Eunseo let out a grunt.

"Wha-"

"That was for leaving without saying a word today."

"Oh."

The bell rang for break. Everyone was busy packing their things, one by one they headed out the door; chattering and giggling to their friends about what happened over the weekends. Eunseo crumpled her worksheets and threw it in her bag along with her pencil case and textbooks.

"Eun, come to the library with me." Stephaine poked her arm as she held a bundle of books in the other.

She glanced over at the books Stephanie was holding and then back at her bag.

"Do you have books to return?"

"2 weeks overdue." Stephanie shrugged, awkwardly laughing.

Eunseo shook her head, "What if I say no?"

"You have nothing better to do anyway..." Stephanie pouted, clinging onto her arm.

Eunseo tried pushing her away but she couldn't deny it. Couple of minutes later she found herself in the library impatiently tapping her foot, waiting for Stephanie to finish renewing her books.

"Steph, I'm going to the gardens. I'll meet you there." Stephanie gave her a short wave as Eunseo made her exit.

Nothing made Eunseo feel better than feeling the early summer breeze against her bare skin whilst taking a walk in the gardens. Barely anyone came to visit. It was better that way anyways, it was calm and peaceful, with the birds chirping and water trickling from the fountain. She liked to consider it her little escape place when she needed to take her mind off things and such.

She decided to settle by the apple tree which was in the middle of the garden. However when she arrived, she was surprised to see someone sleeping in her usual spot. She walked over towards the figure out of curiosity and studied his face.

"Taehyung?"

He slowly opened his eyes and glanced over to see Eunseo staring at him in awe.

"W-What are you doing here?" She coughed.
