Free Planets Alliance High Council room
The the secret room of the High Council is a large screen, and a large circular table with 11 seats. The reason why there's 11 is because of the use of either a tie breaker or a swing vote.
But now the party that's present in the council had less power than it had when it first began. Chairman Sanford a man of ill mindedness and stupidity with a slight hint of obesity on the side starts the meeting.
"I hereby open this session of the high council. Today's agenda has been introduced by the military. The plan to dispatch troops to Imperial territory." The chairman says as Rebello raise his hand.
"Sir!" He yells, the chairman looks to him. "Mr. João Rebello," says Royal Sanford as the Treasury Secretary stands up.
"As Secretary of the Treasury, I want to say one thing. It's strange to say, but until now the Galactic Empire and our Alliance have a continuous war for over 150 years and has reached a level that our economies can barely be able to sustain. Also adding in with the massive debts and loans that we owe to Fezzan as well. But that has now become obsolete." He says as he knows how bad and rotted away the Alliance economy and the Dinar have become.
"What do you mean, Secretary Rebello?" The chairman asks.
"If we escalate the war any further, in our financial state, our overall economy will collapse to the point of there being no recovery whatsoever. Even if we do anything it will lead to the immediate collapse of the Alliance." And he wasn't wrong at all.
"Suppose we increase the amount of paper money?" Said the Deputy Chairman Phillip Christiano as he was just like Royal Sanford, but just straight out stubborn.
'This is why I'm in charge of the money so you can eat.' Rebello thought, "how long can we go on just doing that?" He asks as no one replied.
"Soon paper money will be worthless and traded by the bushel. It's also been show in world history like the Weimar Republic for example. For me, I do not want to leave a legacy of debt to our prosperity and be remembered as an incompetent during an age of historic inflation," Joao says.
Apparently Christiano wasn't finished. "But if we don't win the war, there will be no future generations."
"Then we should stop the war, shouldn't we?" He asks as looks of disdain and disgust crawl across their faces and in his mind he thinks that they believe that ending the war was heresy. 'What have we become now after Delphino,' he thought. "Thanks to Admiral Yang, we've acquired Iserlohn Fortress. The Imperial Fleet has lost its invasion base. I believe that now we con conclude a peace treaty on favorable terms for us and give us time to recover. Am I mistaken?"
His friend, Huang Rui turns to him and speaks quietly. "Hey, hey. Don't go too far."
"The Secretary of the Treasury has a point." Says the Secretary of Justice, Alfred Manning. "But this is a war against tyranny and injustice. Are you saying that because it's expensive, we should stop?" He questions as the Chairman of Economic Development, Frank Snow agreed. "I think so, too. The economic problems must be solved by internal effort."
'Have they not listened to what I just said?!' Rebello thought in his head.
But Rui stood up quickly for anyone's liking. "Speakjng a Chairman of Human Resources, apart from the problem of the economy, the problem of keeping talented people is also critical. Too much talent is being consumed by the military. Among the civilians, there are none but the elderly and children. And with the ways things are going, the social fabric of the Alliance will unravel. This is not a or the time to expand the war." He said as they some like the Secretary of Natural Resources and the other for land and social development but they want to win the war against the Empire.
