Yoongi crossed his arms, his face showing nothing less than annoyance for this lovely customer. Oh how he hated the people at this job some days.

"Maybe, if you were actually doing your job right, I would have my money!" The man shouted, his brows furrowed and his finger pointing at the shorter man.

Yoongi blinked, shrugging. "You're right. Go ask someone else, I'm not helping you anymore." Yoongi sat back down in his chair and grabbed his phone, typing in the passcode before he clicked on 'TwitTwit.'

The man sputtered, his face turning a reddish hue. "You- you can't speak to me like that-"

"Yoongi, come here. Sir, I'm very sorry about him, he's had an awful day. Ahem, why don't you go down to Maria, she'd be happy to help." Hyun-suk glared at Yoongi, beckoning the younger man over with his finger. It was clear he wasn't happy.

Yoongi gulped, nodding hesitantly. He grabbed his phone and pushed it in his pocket, quickly getting to his feet and jogging over to follow his boss. Ah, meet Hyun-suk, his boss. A man who was kind, but a man who could turn into a grizzly bear if his employees misbehaved.

Yoongi walked into the office, shutting the door behind him softly. After doing so, he turned around and sat down in the sole chair infront of the desk. Behind the desk sat Hyun-suk, and he didn't look happy one bit.

"I gave you this job because of your background and as a favor to your friend." He spat, slamming his hand down on the desk. "For a former detective, you have no respect for people, nor do you know how to treat them! You constantly piss people off, Mr. Min. It has been a few months of this and I don't know how much more I can condone before I'm forced to fire you." Hyun-suk leaned back against his chair, resting his hands on his stomach while he stared at Yoongi, who had his eyes downcast.

"I didn't have to put up with their shit at my old job. I was respected and I respected people. It's different. These people don't give a fuck about who you are or your feelings, why should I?" Yoongi tilted his head with a raised brow, a certain bitterness behind his words. It was clear he was putting up his walls once again, guarding himself protectively for no bullets to pass.

Hyun-suk sighed heavily, bringing a hand up to his face to rest his chin on. He eyed Yoongi's position and the way he held himself, trying to understand him.

"This is your job, Yoongi. I suggest you start acting like it, or you just might not have one."

Yoongi frowned, opening his mouth to retort something. The sound of the door opening behind him made him jump up from his chair and shut his mouth, staring at the open door and the person in the door-way.

Aron winked, putting on an innocent smile as he shut the door and walked in the room, sitting down in the chair Yoongi previously sat in.

"Mr. Yang." Aron greeted with a smile, bowing in his chair before he continued. "I found the file you were asking for." To prove it, Aron waved the manila folder in the air.

Hyun-suk put his face in his hands, resting his elbows on his desk. "Thank you, leave it on my desk, please." Hyun-suk gestured to the free space on his desk, right next to his elbow.

Aron leaned over, setting the folder down before he settled back down into his chair. He grinned, crossing his arms while he switched his gaze between the two men, oblivious to the tension.

Hyun-suk stared at Aron in confusion. "You're excused." He pointed towards the door.

Aron waved his hand dismissively, smiling. "No, no it's okay! I'll wait." Aron sat there for another minute, the silence deafening. It took him a few more to realize he wasn't asking. "Oh, shoot, I get it. Sorry, bye." Aron got out of his chair and walked out of the room, not even minding the awkward atmosphere.

Yoongi rolled his eyes, huffing as he walked towards the door, resting his hand on the handle. As soon as he twisted it, Hyun-suk spoke again.

"Think about how you'll act going forward, Yoongi. I may have given this job to you as a favor, but I have no obligation to keep you here."

Yoongi tightened his grip on the handle, clenching his jaw before he opened the door and slammed it on his way out.

"How is she doing?" Yoongi inquired, staring out his window at the coffee shop across the street. It was the one he stopped by everyday before work. They made fabulous coffee and had the friendliest employees.

Jun-ho sighed, shrugging. "She's struggling, to be completely honest. Having a harder time talking, breathing, moving around.. it's bad, Yoongi. It's real bad."

Yoongi bit the inside of his lip, resting his head against the window. He tapped the windowsill, sighing softly. "I'm sorry about that. You can always call me, you know. My advice sucks, but uh," Yoongi looked down at the crowd of people buying warm, soft pretzels at a stand. "I'll try for you."

Jun-ho chuckled quietly, tightening his grip on his phone. "Thanks man." He cleared his throat. "So, you and Aron, huh? I never thought that would happen. You know he's kind of a.. oh what's the term? Fuckboy, right?"

Yoongi burst out laughing, shaking his head, despite knowing Jun-ho couldn't see him. "Definitely not. He's not my type. Besides, we're just fucking, nothing more."

Silence. "And does he know that?"

Yoongi shot a glare at his phone before he returned his gaze out the window, his eyes lingering on the green leaves of a tree. "Yes, he does. We talked about it and agreed it was nothing more than a quick fuck whenever we wanted some."

A laugh. "Yoongi, it's obvious he likes you. For the past few months since you moved here, he has been trying to-"

"Get in my pants, yeah, I know. Look, if he catches feelings, that's not my problem. We made a deal and that's that. If he wants to stop, then he has to tell me. If he wants something more, then he's looking in the wrong place."

Jun-ho rolled his eyes, shaking his head. "You know you're an ass, right?"

Yoongi chuckled, shrugging before he grabbed his coat. "Yep, and this ass is going to get a fat pretzel before they're sold out. Want one? I'll bring it to work tomorrow."

"Yes! Yes, please grab two, I'll pay you. They never sell them over here, stupid privileged shit."

Yoongi gummy-smiled, grabbing his phone and bringing it with him as he walked to put his shoes on. "Don't pay me, it's fine. See you tomorrow."

"Hell yeah, free pretzels. Bye, see ya tomorrow!"
