CHAPTER THREE

It was around 7:15PM when I heard the front door being unlocked.

My heart started pounding and I nervously rubbed the palms of my hands onto my sweatpant clad thighs.

The door opened and Kendall stepped into my immaculately decorated living room. She squealed and then flung herself at me, peppering my face with little smooches.

I giggled and wrapped my arms around her, squashing her onto my chest. "I missed you baby!" Kendall said excited while rubbing her neck against mine, a common greeting with couples.

All alpha and omega scent glands can be found in the wrists, necks, and thighs. Rubbing makes them produce pheromones, which is why couples tend to rub necks, much like cats do to each other.

I smiled and kissed her cheek, letting myself indulge in this moment before I would have to tell her what I've been hiding from her.

I unintentionally sighed a little too loud while hugging her, and she pulled back but kept her hands on my shoulders, "Hey, what's wrong?"

I smiled sadly, "Y-you, um, might want to sit down for this.." Kendall did, and patted the seat next to her.

Here it goes.. I'm about to lose my best friend..

"Kendall, I really do love you, but it's no longer in a romantic way.. and it's been like this for a while, but I was so scared to lose you, so I haven't said anything to you about it until now.. I'm sorry." I said, whispering at the end.

Kendall smiled sadly and then hugged me again, "It's okay George. I've noticed you haven't been the same for a few months, and I'm alright with that." She kissed my cheek and smiled again at me, "I'm still your best friend and you can rely on me. I won't hold anything against you, so no bad blood, kay?"

She smiled even wider and had a slight glaze over her eyes, "I'll also admit.. I've been crushing on this cute beta in my online computer program.."

I giggled and then shook my head, "Thank god you're my best friend"

"So.. Who's the special person you've been talking to hmm~?" Kendall asked with a big smirk on her face.

I blushed and then swatted at her, "K-Kendall!" She laughed and then flipped her brown hair behind her shoulders, "Whaaat? I just wanna know if the guy's good enough for you!"

"W-well.. um.. His name is Clay.. and he's so sweet and cute and sexy and hot and funn-" Kendall slapped her hand over my mouth.

Her brown eyes were wide and she had a big smile on her face, "Oh my god. It's Dream isn't it?"

"D-don't tell him! Please!" I begged and she laughed, "Of course I won't tell him sweetie! I just connected the dots. Did you not think I'd hear you talking to him? I knew you liked him, but not this much!"

I blushed and then smiled weakly, "Yeah. I like him a lot."

Kendall smiled sweetly and kissed my cheek, "I'll be right back."  With that, she got up and walked towards the bathroom.

I sighed, thanking my lucky stars I had such a great best friend. I resumed my episode of 'Black Butler' and then heard my stomach growl.

"Hey Kendall! Wanna order some take out?"

I waited for a response and when none came, I paused my episode and got up, heading in the same direction Kendall had.

I found her in the bathroom, her hand over her mouth and a light pink blush on her face.

"Damn honey, if he can make you smell like that then he's a good one. I couldn't even do that to you!" Kendall said while eyeing the clothes hamper.
