CHAPTER FORTY-THREE:
ADDICTED

"ARE YOU SURE THEY'RE alright with me coming over? I mean. . . I haven't been in the same room as everybody since. . . you know." Luna shyly stated. Jasper glanced at her before his eyes fell back onto the road.

"Luna, trust me. They aren't mad at you." Jasper told her.

"Yeah, but they should be." Luna softly said as a frown covered her face. Jasper grabbed Luna's hand, interlocking their fingers.

"Luna, you have done nothing wrong. None of us have the right to be mad at you. Either way, they're just happy that I have you again. I was a mess without you, I ignored everyone, kept myself locked away in my room. Luna, my family loves you a lot more than you think." Jasper gently told her. "Besides, who could be mad at you? Definitely not me."

"Bella was mad at me." Luna told him.

"Keyword: was." Jasper pointed out. Luna sighed as she nodded her head. They arrived at the Cullen house, and carefully Luna entered. Alice immediately ran up to her and pulled her into a tight hug. Luna was surprised but nonetheless hugged the fairy-like girl back.

"It's good to have you back." Alice gently said. Luna had never heard the girl talk so sincerely before, and she couldn't help but smile at the pixie-like girls words. When the two pulled away from one another, Luna sent her a gentle smile.

"It's good to be back." Luna's soft voice made Alice's smile widen. Luna chuckled lightly at the girl before glancing over at Rosalie who gave her a reassuring smile.

"It's good to have Jasper back as well." Emmett commented. "Absolute mess I tell you."

Luna couldn't help but chuckle as she glanced at her mate who was rolling his eyes at Emmett's words. "So I've heard." Luna grabbed his hand before going deeper into the house. She smiled at Carlisle and Esme who sent welcoming smiles back towards her. Luna walked up the stairs towards Jasper's room, an annoyed sigh falling on her lips as she glanced at his blank walls. Jasper closed his bedroom door before walking up behind her and wrapping his arms gently around her waist.

"What's wrong, darlin'?"

"Your walls are white." Luna answered. Jasper furrowed his eyebrows.

"Great observance." He joked. Luna turned her head to look at him, slapping him gently on his arm causing him to chuckle lightly.

"You should let me paint your room." Luna told him, turning in his arms so that she was facing him, allowing her to wrap her arms around his neck. Jasper cocked an eyebrow at her.

"You want to paint my room?" He clarified.

"Yes. White is boring and makes me cringe." Luna truthfully answered him.

"The entire house is white." Jasper retorted. Luna rolled her eyes.

"Exactly! At least one room needs to be colorful or I'm going to be living with Charlie for the rest of eternity."

Jasper smirked as his eyebrows raised at the suggestion. "You're going to move in with me."

She shrugged her shoulders. "Eventually. At least, I hope so." Jasper opened his mouth, but Luna held up a finger before closing her eyes and concentrating on the others in the house, toning down their hearing so that they wouldn't be able to hear the conversation that Luna knew they were listening to. She opened her eyes. "Continue."

"Did you just-?"

"I did." She nodded her head. "Anyways, you were going to say something?"

"Marry me."

"Well, wasn't expecting that one." Luna admitted. Jasper chuckled in amusement.

"I'm being serious." Jasper told her, looking into her golden eyes that made his smile widen a little more knowing that he was going to have her forever. "Luna Rose Star, I have loved you since I first met you. I loved you when I was away from you. I heard your voicemails, all of them, and I love you even more. You make everyday ten times better. You can smile and my knees are weak. I have never been so happy in my many decades of life, and when I met you, my entire world changed. I always thought I didn't deserve love, but when I met you, you made it your goal to prove me wrong. I never thought I could love so deeply until I met you. You mean the entire world to me.

"When I saw you sitting by yourself in that library, drawing that perfectly shaped crescent moon, I had never been so infatuated in my life. You are a drug, and I'm not afraid to admit that I'm addicted to you. I addicted to your drawing skills. I'm addicted to your soft spoken voice that always makes someone smile. I'm addicted to the way your smile lights up the entire room. I'm addicted to the way your presence just brings a calming aurora into the room. I'm addicted to you and everything you are. And I'm not ashamed of it. You are my life, Luna Star, and I want our life to start together. I love you, so much. So," He took a step back from Luna―︎whose eyes were glazed over as a hand covered her mouth―︎and got down on one knee. "Luna Star, will you do me the honor and become my wife?"

Luna nodded her head. "Yes, of course I will marry you, Jazz!" Jasper smiled and slid the gorgeous ring that he had pulled out from his pocket onto Luna's ring finger. Jasper stood up and Luna immediately pulled him in for a loving kiss. He hugged her close, never wanting to let go of her as he kissed her back. But of course, the moment had to be ruined when Jasper's phone rang, a frantic Edward on the other line.
