Messing up

Four

I opened the door and saw the guy from the airport. He had a few of his friends. They weren't yet looking at me. I told Kaitlyn to come to the door and we all just sat there in awkward silence. Then the boy who helped us at the airport spoke up and said

"Hey you are that girl from the airport! I told you I'd see you around!"

I was kinda scared was he stalking me? He interrupted my thoughts.

"We live across the street and we saw the truck come earlier so we figured someone would be moving in. We brought cookies!" He said and smiled.

He had the cutest smile. I looked at the other two boys. One was staring at Kaitlyn any the other was on his phone. I grabbed the cookies from him hands and said thank you.

"Oh by the way my name is Kian. Kian Lawley. And this is Jc and Ricky." He said pointed to the other two boys.

"My name is Emily and this is Kaitlyn." I said pointing to her. She said hey then went behind the door to look in a box.

I was thinking about inviting them in and eating the cookies with us but it's kind of weird letting complete strangers into your house.

"Well I think we are gonna get some sleep. We arn't really used to the time yet." I said. I was honestly just trying to get them to leave. I didn't know if they were weird or not.

"Oh okay. We'll have a good nights sleep." Kian said.

He was so sweet. He pulled me in for a hug. Maybe he was just really friendly. I hugged him back. I mean he was really cute and he seamed nice. He was really warm too. We backed away from each other and the other 2 boys had already walked away and Kaitlyn was standing behind the door looking in a box.

"Bye." I said with a smile.

I started closing the door but he stopped me.

"Wait... Uhh, can I... Uh, have your number?" He said while scratching the back of his head.

"Sure." I said handing him my phone to put his number in and then I texted him. He smiled and said thanks.

"Talk to you later then?" I said questionably.

He nodded and started walking back to his house. I closed the door and leaned on it and just smiled.
