In the Darkest Places, You are my light

Iggy's POV*

I hear her across the room with the flock. Still desperate to know how she looks, but her being mine is enough for me. I remember that night, when I made her finally mine and we are now one. I don't think anything will break us apart because I won't ever let that happen. She is the one that saved me of course.

*Flash back*

Iggy's POV*

As they threw me back in my cage, I felt blood dripping from my mouth. The reason I'm bleeding is because they were trying to inject something in me but I bit one of the scientist, so they beat me very harshly. I coughed up blood and looked down at the ground, I hate my life I thought. "Hey are you okay?" I looked around to see who was talking and they also made me blind a while back so I can't really see at all. "Just walk straight, I'll tell you when to stop" I followed the directions of the voice and then I heard "Stop" and I stopped right there. She spoke again, yea now I know it's a girl, "Are you alright, those bruises look like they really hurt!" I said " Well no shit, of course they hurt damnit!" Ugh why did I was to be mean about it, I guess I'm just letting out my anger but I shouldn't let it out on her. I spoke again "Sorry, I'm just really upset right now, those bastards are horrible!" She then grabbed my hand and said " Yea, I know, but there's no reason to be so upset, I know we'll leave this place one day." Ha! As if, I've given up hope a long time ago and it's really not possible to leave this shit place. I replied "Sorry to break it to you but we are never getting out of this place" She then sudden tighten her grip on my hand, I grit my teeth because I got hurt there too. "Oh sorry, but please don't give up hope, I know that one day we'll finally be free and won't be hurt anymore! Have hope at least a bit of it because I just know we'll make it through this! Together!" I smiled at this, what a dumbass, but her hope in us getting out of her actually sounds great, I think I haven't fully given up after all. " Ok then, let's get out together then, we'll protect each other okay? I hope you're right about this..." She held both my hands in hers and I could just tell she had a huge smile on her face and then she said "Of course I am! You can count on me anytime, I'll protect you too!" I somewhat smiled at this, I wanna protect you too...You're like the only light in this dark place, even if I can't see I know there's light there when it's with you. "Oh BTW, My names Y/N! What's yours?" I replied " I'm Iggy, Y/N is a lovely name." She laughed " Aw thanks, I like your name too!" I felt like I blushed at her comment.

*Back to then Present*

Your POV*

I saw Iggy staring at me and I smiled happily at him, even though I know he can't see but whenever I see him I can't help but smile. I walked up to him and pat his head softly, he nuzzled my hand. SOO CUTEEE!!!! I giggled at how he was acting, and suddenly I was pulled into an embrace that's was very tight. "HAHA, Iggy what's up with you? I'm not going anywhere." He nuzzled into the crook of my neck and I could feel that he was taking in my scent. I chuckled and wrapped my arms around him and spoke softly into his ear "Don't worry my love, I'm not going anywhere, I'll always be by your side no matter what" I pecked his forehead but he grabbed my face and pecked my lips, I kissed back and we started kissing for a very long time. I stopped for air but he tried to keep kissing, what's wrong with him? " Iggy, is there something wrong? You're really worrying me right now." He spoke "I just want to kiss you forever and ever, I don't want to ever stop, you're so loveable and your lips are so sweet I can't stop myself." I blushed at that and hugged him tightly, Ugh how can someone be so fucken cute, but I feel like it's something else. 

Iggy's POV*

As I feel Y/N hug me tightly she then says "That's so sweet Iggy but I know there's more to it." I sighed, she knows me so well, this is why I love her so much and she just the most perfect and amazing person I've ever met.  I replied "Well, I thought about the very first time we met, I'm scared that they might find us and take you away from me and I'll never see you again and I'll never feel the touch of your lip AND YOUR TOUCH THAT I ENJOY SO MUCH AND AND-" She suddenly kissed me so I would quiet down and calm down as well because I suddenly was crying now. I sobbed into her shoulder and held her tightly as she patted my back and rubbed circles on it, I JUST CAN'T BARE TO LOSE HER! I'd go crazy and who knows what else I would even do...I just don't want these happy times to end, not even for a moment. After I was done, she cupped my cheeks and touched noses with me, she spoke softly "Don't worry my love, they won't ever find us and if they do we'll protect each other, right?" I nodded, that was our deal after all. She knows just what to say, I'm so in love with this girl, I feel all warm and soft whenever I'm with her and it almost feels like a dream so if it is don't ever let me wake up. We kissed once again and cuddled for the rest of the day and watched a movie with the flock, I don't feel worried at all anymore. Or that's what I thought.....
