Under the Moonlight

~Midorya's POV~
We walked back to our seats, neither of us saying much. I wondered why he hasn't asked to leave yet. I bet I made him so uncomfortable. I guess I should apologize.
"Look Todoroki-kun, I'm really sorry about that. I understand if you don't want to stay here with me. It won't hurt my feelings if you want to leave"
"What do you mean you're sorry? You didn't do anything wrong."
"But I weirded you out, right? You don't want to go out with me?"
"You were asking me out?!"
I froze for a few seconds, the tears that had been in my eyes starting to retreat.
"Not exactly, but I was planning to. Sorry, I bet I just made it worse. I'll go."
I stood from my seat and walked outside, regretting clarifying. If I had just lied, he wouldn't hate me.

~Todoroki's POV~
I blinked a few times. Midorya... likes me. My crush since we were first years. Said he liked me. And then ran away. I stood so quickly that my chair fell over. I didn't even see it. I only knew because I could hear Iida's scolding as I sprinted towards the door.

The air was brisk and cold, and the moon shone overhead. That paired with the dim lights in front of the school allowed me to find Midorya sitting under a tree. I slowly approached him, careful not to be too abrupt and startle him. I gently put my hand on his back, and a tear stained face turned to look at me. My hand moved to his cheek, wiping away a tear.
"I like you Midorya. I have since we met. Please be my boyfriend."
His eyes seemed to light up as he took my hand.
"You can call me Izuku"
He pulled my face to his, and our lips locked in a kiss that seemed to melt the whole world away.
