"What if we got married now?"
"Like, tonight?"
"Yeah, why not?"
"How do we get married?"
"I'll call someone, wait a sec" she said and I nodded, thinking it was a perfectly reasonable decision "wait, I don't wanna get married"
"Why?"
"I don't know, too spontaneous" she shrugged and I laughed at her and we kept walking
"Do you mean ever?"
"I mean today" she reassured me "don't worry, you can be my wife another day"
"But I'm already your wife"
"Not yet" she whined
"Why don't you wanna be my wife?"
"I do"
"But why not now? You said the other day you can't wait to be my wife"
"I know" she said
"So marry me"
"Okay" she laughed
I woke up and my first thought was that my eyes felt extremely heavy, and my body didn't want to move. I shuffled around and felt Kendall's arm go around me, and I smiled and looked at her.
"Morning"
"Hey gorgeous" I sighed
"You look beautiful" she said and I knew I really didn't, so I buried my face into my pillows "why are you hiding?"
"I'm not hiding"
"Yes you are, give me a kiss"
"But I probably taste weird"
"I don't care, I still love you" she said and I stayed still "if you don't give me a kiss I'll pick you up"
"Fine" I grumbled and kept my eyes closed while I found her face, then pecked her on the lips and flopped back down.
"Do you remember last night?"
"Not really, I remember that you spoke to Leah though"
"Yeah. Anything else? Like, after we left?"
"We didn't do anything weird right?"
"We almost did"
"What sort of weird?"
"Getting married" she stretched out
"Why didn't we?"
"I thought it was too irresponsible to go through with it and for both of us to regret not having the wedding we've been trying to put together for a while now. Are you upset that we didn't?"
"No, I was just wondering which one of us is the dumbest. Not that it was even a question"
"I know"
"Did we have sex?"
"Look at my back" she laughed and I frowned but looked at it to see it covered in scratches
"Ouch, I'm so sorry"
"I'll only forgive you if you give me back rubs" she demanded so I sat on her back and massaged it gently and placed a kiss on her shoulder "get some oil"
"Okay, wait there" I said and went into the bathroom and came back with a candle and some oil
"Why'd your bring a candle?"
"It has relaxing smells" I said and lit it "I want you to be relaxed after I scratched the shit out of your back with my nails"
"You're taking them off, they're so painful" she said
