"I wasn't honest with you about that. Or with anyone. Or even with her" she said

"What do you mean?"

"Well, I knew she was cheating when I found some men's underwear in the house and some texts on her phone, and I started trying to fuck you while we were still married but it wasn't really working so I went out and hooked up with some girl"

"While you were still with your wife?"

"Yeah" she said "but she cheated first"

"Does that make it okay?"

"Were you really divorced when we started going on dates and stuff?"

"Whats wrong with you? I have every right to doubt everything you've ever told me because of what you've done. Why did I go back to you? Why do I even want to stay with you after all of this?"

"Because I'm being honest, I just don't want to keep any secrets from you"

"How is that gonna help?"

"Because it's honesty, it's important to me that you hear the whole truth no matter how horrible it might sound"

"I'd rather you didn't do it, or just have been honest with me and everyone else from the start. I think we should take a step back, look after this" I passed her the ring and she looked at me with a shocked expression and stayed still until I sat down in the living room and she sat on the floor in front of me and looked up at me "what?"

"Please" she said "I cheated on my ex wife, and this changes us?"

"I don't know Kendall, you've done so many fucked up things to me and every other woman you've been with"

"I know, and I want to change so bad" she said "and you made me change"

"No I didn't! I made you quit smoking, which you've apparently taken back up because you stink of the stuff, you just cheated on me and made up excuses about it-"

"What excuses?"

"But it was for the-"

"No! I know what it was for, it was for your ego. You want girls all over you and when I'm not, I guess hot English lady will do just fine instead of checking on me to see what's wrong!"
