SasuSaku: One and Only

Chapter 10: The Darkness of Night

The sun began to set and soon the moon and stars were shining overhead... Sasuke has been running nonstop for 12 hours. As he looked up at the sky, he began to see the darkness of night take over... It was then that a horrible thought entered his mind...

What if he didn't make it in time...?

What if he got there and she was already turned into one of those lifeless zombies...?

Or even worse, what if she was already dea...

The raven snapped himself back and shook those thoughts out of his mind... He couldn't lose faith now... She was the strongest and the smartest Kunoichi in Konoha... If anything, he would find her the victor of an epic battle... Bodies strewn across the ground... But in a split second his face changed to that stone-cold look that it always has... If anything happens to her he will stand at nothing to destroy everything and everyone in his path... He decided that he needed to find her immediately...

The raven found himself in a clearing in the forest... He brushed the hair from his left eye to reveal his Rinnegan... The grayish purple hue began to change... 5 tomoes slowly appeared one by one in the center of his eye... The tomoes began to multiply as they swirled in a circular pattern the bright purple now covered his entire eye as it was activated... Several portals began to open. He was frantically searching each one for just a glimpse of pink... Several minutes passed... It felt like he was getting nowhere when all of a sudden, he caught a glimpse of the pinkette blindfolded and chained up...

As he entered the portal, he crouched down in the corner to make sure they were in the room alone... There was a window on his left side... As he took on his surroundings you could see that he was silhouetted by the moonlight shining in... He had already deactivated his left eye but the right eye was still blazing as red as fire... He looked up at the pinkette... He could tell she was unconscious... Just as he is about to walk up to unchain her, he heard someone coming... He quickly masked his chakra and hid in the shadows...

Two guards entered the room... As the door was closing behind them the raven could hear the cries and screams of other women coming from the other areas of the compound... Sasuke cringed to himself... The first guard walked into the room and the raven immediately noticed he was wearing a Leaf Jounin uniform... The raven thought that he must have been a deserter from the war... He looked to be not much older than him and the pinkette... He had mid length brown hair... He was still wearing his Leaf headband that kept his hair in place to the sides of his face. The other guard looked a bit older, maybe in his 30s... He had longer dirty blonde hair and by the looks of him he was definitely a seasoned ninja...

The first ninja walked past the pinkette and set down what appeared to be a tray with syringes on the table in front of the window... The raven now knew that they planned on torturing her... Or even worse... Planned on turning her into one of those zombies...

He then witnessed the blonde guard walk up to the pink haired Kunoichi, remove the blindfold, and forcefully lifted her chin up to face him... He scoffed when he realized that she was still unconscious...

"It's too bad you are not awake to experience this... Slut..."

Just then the brown-haired guard turned back from the window and yelled out, "Hey Jiro, you know the boss said not to touch the goods!"

The blonde guard payed no attention as he began to move his hand from her chin down toward her chest... "Relax, Retzu, if I don't leave any marks, then it's like it never happened... Besides, you are only sympathizing with her because she's from the Leaf!" He said with an evil laugh...
