SasuSaku: One and Only

Chapter 1: A Dream Come True

It's been four years since the day he was freed and left on a quest for redemption...

Four years since he poked her forehead and said...

"Mata kondo ne... Arigato" (Maybe next time... Thank you)...

Four years since the raven haired boy with onyx eyes that would burn right through you even without his Sharingan activated was in the village...

Four years since she's seen that handsome face that could melt your heart in an instant...

Four years and not a word...  Not a message...  Not a clue to where he is or what he's been doing...

He was all she could think of since she has been dreaming of him for the past couple weeks...

What was the reason for these dreams??? 
For the past two years she forced him out of her thoughts by training nonstop with Lady Tsunade, working double shifts at the Hospital, avoiding the outside world, and finally being named Konoha's Head Doctor...

She is now 24 years old and constantly receiving flowers, chocolates, and professions of undying love from many male suitors...  Even though she has ignored and fought against it, her platinum blonde friend finally talked her into going out on a date with someone...  It was the only logical thing she thought she could do to finally get the raven out of her head...  The only way she could move on...  The only way to free her from the pain in her heart...  Or so she thought...

It was a sunny summer day in Konoha. She woke up to the deafening sound of the alarm and realized she was 40 minutes late.  Taking a five minute shower and shoving an already half eaten bagel into her mouth from the day before, she set off to work.

On her way she was stopped by two ANBU and was told her presence was immediately requested to report to the Hokage, Hatake Kakashi...

Looking ahead, she could see the abandoned area that used to be occupied by the raven's clan...  A place where tragedy struck and ripped his whole life and heart to shreds in an instant...  Leaving nothing behind but anger and bitterness which eventually led him to leave the village and set off for revenge... 

Though worn through time, the Clan Crest was still visible...  Her mind drifted to the night he left...  Her words to him still clear in her mind... "Stay with me... Take me with you if you can't stay here...  I love you with all my heart!" Her last memory of him before he left was him flash stepping behind her saying "Arigato..." right before when everything went black.

Shaking the thought out of her head, she turned on her heal and headed to the Hokage Tower.  Wondering what this was all about...  Her thoughts drifted again to the raven...  Could it be?  Had he finally sent a message?  Is he coming home?  Is he hurt?  She was locked in her thoughts when she accidentally bumped into someone....  As the pinkette looked up, she couldn't help but to notice the blonde haired Jinchuuriki with his blue ocean eyes gleaming in the sun...

"NARUTO???  I'm sorry, I didn't see you there!"

"Oh, it's ok Sakura-Chan. So you got called to see Kakashi-sensei too, huh?"  They never did get out of the habit calling him "sensei".  He was totally fine with it.  He disliked being called "Hokage-sama" or "Lord Hokage".  It was way too formal for the copy ninja...

"Yeah, and I am already late to my day shift at the Hospital!  Wonder what this is about?"
Before she could even speak her thoughts aloud, she noticed that they already in front of the tower.  They walked up the stairs and arrived at the huge brown door.  Knocking on the door, they heard, "You may enter".

They looked around the room and saw Kakashi-sensei, Iruka Sensei, Lady Tsunade, and Uzumaki Hinata... 

Hinata had a huge smile on her face and her opal eyes were shining under the light from the window.  Yes, her and Naruto were married right after the raven left...
