After we returned home from the pool, it was dark. We went back inside and took turns in the bathroom getting changed back into dry clothes.

We took our clothes out and hung them off of the porch railing to dry. The sun had gone down, so it was much cooler out. The air was warm and the sky was clear.

"Let's just sit out here on the swingset" Andrea said as she sat on one of the swings in front of the house.I sat down on the swing next to her. After a few minutes, I looked through the white picket fence in front of the house and saw something move.

"Um, Andrea, I think there's a cat right there." I say. Andrea looks to where I'm pointing and squints.

"Oh yeah. that's Chace's cat. Why's it over here?" She replied. She gets of the swing and goes to pick the cat up. "Come on kitty, lets get you back to your house."

The only thing between Elena's house and Chace's house is a drive way. The families both share this one drive way, so it's easy to just walk on over. We crossed the driveway and knocked on their door. Through the glass on the door is Aaron. He was walking across the kitchen with a gallon of milk in his hands. Our knock must've scared him, 'cause he jumped.

Aaron is Chace's best friend since they were little. Aaron's 15, but two grades behind Chace. His mom is black, but his dad's white, so he's a little in between. He has buzzed dark brown hair and dark brown eyes.  He's taller than Andrea, but in a skinny/muscly way. So yeah, I guess he's pretty cute too.

Aaron called to Chace and then opened the door.  Chace ran to the kitchen and looked at us, then looked at the cat in Andrea's hands.

"Um, I think this is your cat?" Andrea said.

"Yeah it is," Chace took the cat from her "Damn cats. Aren't even supposed to be out of the house but the keep getting out. Thanks though."

"Your welcome" Andrea and I both say. Then we turn right around and walk off the porch. Before we knew it, Aaron and Chace were right behind us.

"Hey, you guys wanna play a game?" They asked.

"Uhhh, sure" I say and Andrea nodded. Chace then looked at Aaron.

"To the stinky couch?" Chace asked him.

"To the stinky couch!" Aaron proclaimed. Andrea and I just looked at them like they were crazy, but we followed them back to Chace's back yard.

When the said "Stinky couch" they weren't kidding. Out behind the house was a small, 2 person couch. It was red, and kinda gross. Oh, and the thing smelled like ass.  Aaron and Chace both sat on the couch and Andrea and I stood there.

"Manhunt." Chace said all of a sudden. "Two teams. I get Kat, and Aaron gets Mama longlegs over there." He picked me for his team? Cool.

"Hey! Thats not nice." Andrea says laughing.

"Hush up girl." Aaron says. "We're it first. ready? ONE, TWO, THREE-"

"Run!" Chace says to me and we both ran off into the dark.

"Where are we going?" I said, still running,  practically blind in the darkness. "I have no idea how to get around this place!"

"Shh, over here!" He whispered and grabbed my hand, leading my to a concealed area behind some bushes. After we sat down, we were both out of breath, but he still had my hand. Whether he noticed or not, I didn't care. He turned to me and smiled. I could see better now and my eyes had somewhat adjusted to the dark. I smiled back. Then he leaned towards me, eyes closed.
