Because of You

Chapter 6

 I could smell his cologne. Or maybe it was just his shampoo. Whatever it was, it was great. His face was about 3 inches from mine when he pulled back.

"Someone's coming!" He whispered, but it was loud enough for Aaron to hear. 

"Bro, I soo got you!!" Aaron yelled and started running towards us.

"Bitch, please!" Chace yelled back, and with that, he took off. I followed him out into the street. We ran down the sidewalk under the street lamps. Down the drive way we continued, and we both dove onto the stinky couch. We we're entwined with one another, laughing as hard as we could. We rolled onto to ground, him now a foot r to away from me, still laughing when Aaron and Andrea got there.

"You two think your hot shit, don't you?" Aaron said

"Aww, baby Aaron, Don't cry, it's okay to lose," I said giggling. 

"Whatever, I quit. No more manhunt" He laughed. He sat down on the couch. I got off the ground and sat next to him, and Andrea sat next to me. Since this is, comfortably, only a 2 person couch, three people was a tight squeeze. So where does Chace sit? On top of me. He puts his hat on my head.

Right then, Andrea's mom came out of the house. 

"Come inside girls, it's late" She said quietly. She never usually talks loud.

"But mom, it's not even that late!" Andrea whined.

"Andrea, it's 11:30 at night. Say goodbye and come inside." She said and went back indoors.

"Alright. Well, goodnight I guess." Andrea said standing up. "Come on Kat."

"Hey Chace?" I said. 

"Yeah?"

"Get off me." I joked and gave him a playful little push. He stood up and let me off the couch. I followed andrea across the driveway before I turned around.

"Oh, heres your hat back." I smiled and threw Chace's hat back to him. He caught it, looked at it, then threw it back. I caught it looking confused.

"Keep it." He said with a smile and a wink.

I laughed went inside Andrea's grandma's house. 

Once Andrea and I were in our beds, we heard a tap on the window next to my bed. The large window faces out toward the driveway and Chace's house.  I pulled back the curtain just to see Chace and Aaron's smiling faces. 

"Wait one second" They said and then ran back inside Chace's house. Andrea and I looked confused, but we waited. A minute later, Aaron and Chace climbed out of Chace's window onto the roof.

"Wow you guys are dumb. We're going to bed." Andrea laughed and closed the curtain. We laid down on our beds.

"Hey Kat?" Andrea said quietly.

"Huh?" I said half asleep.

"Chace likes you." She said.

"Nah.. Thats impossible... " I said

I feel asleep thinking about how the next day would be.
