Kayla yawned at the steering wheel of the car, that was now slowing down, and turnt into a dark, abandoned alleyway. The old vehicle came to a steady stop and Kayla huffed looking at the gas metre. "Dammit... Out of gas..." she muttered to herself and kicked the dashboard in frustration. She took out the GPS satnav that she had found in the backseat of the car and turnt it on ' Steelport ' it read and She sighed. Never before had she heard of this city, let alone been to it.
Frustrated, she slung her backpack onto her back and exited the car slamming the door shut I'm temper. She left the alleyway and looked around for something similar to a motel. Nope. Nothing. Nothing at all looked anything like Stilwater to her. She decided to wonder around, find a place to stay for a while. She walked for what seemed like hours taking in the colorful sights and tall buildings. It was beautiful. So much more pretty than smelly old Stilwater. She gazed up at the buildings smiling in wounder. She looked up at a street sign noting that she was in ' Loren Square' she made a mental note to visit here again at night time if this was how pretty it was.
That night wasn't as great as it had seemed... She slept in a cold, damp alleyway cursing herself for forgetting where she parked the damn car. She lay there on an old bin liner, using her bag as her pillow, she pulled her jacket closer to her trying to welcome sleeps embrace.
"Shoot them down boys!" Kayla was woken to the shouting and screaming of panicked citizens closely followed by explosions and alot of gunfire. Just when she had thought she was in a better place violence seemed to never leave her. She covered her ears cowering in a corner when she felt a sturdy hand rest on her shoulder. Her head snapped up and she gasped staring into the eyes of, what she thought was her attacker. "Woahhh Woah Woah Woah! Easy there sweetheart! I won't hurt cha " he said in a calming voice, offering Kayla a hand to help her up. She looked at his hand inspectively and hesitantly grasped it. The boy pulled her to her feet and patted her back. "Are you okay love? You look a little beaten up." he commented and Kayla once again touched her swollen lip. "I'm Bobby. Bobby of the Deckers. And what is your name?" her smiled sweetly trying to make conversation with her. "I'm ummmm... I-I... I'm sorry I'm having a really bad anxiety attack. I'm Kayla.... Kayla Smith " she laughed slightly and offered out a hand to the boy with electronic blue clothes. He smiled and shook her hand firmly and picked up her backpack, beckoning her to his car.
" Cmon love seriously, I'm not leaving you here with the cops patrolling around. A pretty lil' thing like you is gonna get kidnapped around this area. Your coming with me Kayla." he chuckled getting into his car, closely followed by Kayla getting into the passenger seat and fastening her seatbelt.
For what seemed like the first time in ages, Kayla was smiling. Not a fake smile. Genuinely smiling. She had a feeling that there was going to be a good relationship between her and Bobby....
