Trans Kokichi.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'It not good to bottle feelings,'
Kokichi's soulmate would always write that to him. They didn't know, not at all.
Kokichi was frightened to meet his soulmate, to say the least. For starters, he had no idea if said soulmate was a guy or girl, but he liked guys.
Second, Kokichi was trans, and couldn't afford surgery yet, so he still had his binder. He didn't know if his soulmate would be against it.
The whole soulmate thing kinda scared the small purple haired male, some days he sat in his room, contemplating if he should go through with meeting them. But, he had to. He couldn't leave his soulmate like that.
They had no plans of meeting, currently, and Kokichi was completely fine with it.
'We should meet soon!'
They always suggested it, and Kokichi would agree. But he'd back out, afraid they'd think he was some broken garbage, with some terrible mental disease.
'What happen?? Is soulmate okay??"
Was the message Kokichi would recipe after he left yet another cut on his scarred skin.
His soulmate obviously had the cuts too, although he was positive they couldn't actually feel the pain.
'I ran into the door again, nothing to worry about :)'
He'd write that back, and to his surprise, his soulmate believed him.
Ah, reason number three.
Kokichi was kind of a liar. Well, not kind of,  more like, indefinitely. He used his lies, and manipulative personality to hide his true feelings, and the pain that pierced his very being everyday.
That was no different from the others, from how it started out.
'Aww.. Soulmate still no can meet..?'
Kokichi started to feel bad. He'd kept his soulmate waiting for five years but he still didn't have enough money for the surgeries. Even 2 years after high school. He tried his best to manage small jobs, until he could find something stable, but he had trouble keeping jobs.
Kokichi bit his lip, and took the pen in his hand, writing back quickly.
'Sorry... Not today either.'
'Tomorrow is five year anniversary of day we start talking.'
Kokichi looked over to his calendar, his gaze hardening slightly, and the guilt in his chest building.
'Oh, it is. You're right.'
'Please, I beg you. I do anything, but could we meet tomorrow?'
Kokichi stared at his arm. Alongside the brief messages, were a few fresh cuts. Staring at the cuts, and the few worried words from his soulmate... He made his decision.
'You know what? Yeah. Let's do it. Give me your number, and we'll set up a time.'
And as quickly as he wrote it out, a string of numbers was on his arm.
I never got this far... I can't go back now.
Kokichi pulled out his phone, and typed in the number.
