CHAPTER 12: FOLD AND SPILL

1 day before flight to  Philly

After that fiasco of an interview I went home and spent the entire day there. Since the kids are staying with Hakeem until we go to Philadelphia I invited Devon over last night.This is my last day here before we have to leave for Philly and I wanted to spend it with him. Andre is going to host a quick meeting to update us on the movie. 

"Thanks babe," He utters as I hand him food. I'm cooking breakfast for Devon and I to eat before I have to leave for Empire.

"You're welcome," I say while grinning

"So we haven't talk about us and how it's going to work while your away," He says in a serious tone.

"What do you mean?" I say in confusion. 

"Well how is the long distance going to work?" He says while eating.

"Well first it's only for 2 months plus I would hardly call this long distance cause Philly is only 2 hours away by car, even faster by jet, so you can come to see me whenever you want to," I answer trying not to make our situation a big deal.

"That's true plus we always have facetime," he say and looks at me.

"Yep but I am going to miss you," I say looking up at him.

"Me too," he says while kissing my cheek. 

"You should finish eating while I get ready and then we'll head over to Empire,"  

"Ok," he replies and continues to eat. 

I go upstairs and shower after that I do my makeup. I pick an outfit to wear and then head back downstairs.

"I'm going to go home my sister called me and she needs me," he utters as he grabs his things.

"Is she ok," I ask while grabbing my keys.

"Yeah she's fine," he replies as we head to the door.

We walk out together and then go our seperate ways. I arrive to Empire and I head over to the board room for a quick meeting. It is only between the people involved in the movie so there isn't a lot of people in here. I take my sit and wait for it to start.

"Ok great news everyone we are on track for this movie," Andre says proudly.

"We will began filming in one week but we've already flown out some of the crew and the rest of yall are going tomorrow so everything is set," He stops and look at his notes and then continues. "My mom and pops have finished writing the scripts with the writers for Philly and they are working on the parts for when we start filming here,"

"This movie is important to me and Empire so I need yall to bring your A games and that's about everything I hope everyone is ready for filming and yall can go Thank you for your time," He gets up from his chair and walks over to me. 

"Tiana can we talk in my office," He says while pointing in the direction of his office. 

"Sure," I nervously reply because I know it's going to be about what happened during my interview. 

We walk there and I take a seat on the couch.

"Ok so that stunt you pulled at tea talk-," I cut him of before he could continue.

"Yeah I know I could of handled it better but they were annoying so I had to put them in their place," I express trying to defend myself. 

"Ok but I wasn't gonna scold you I was gonna say good job," He states grinning from ear to ear.

"What," I say to express my confusion.

"Yeah that stunt got you trending which is bringing promo to the movie and that's great," Andre says.
