Part 15

Abhimanyu fell down on the ground with a thud & his head hit a nearby rock, he groaned in pain. He got two bullets, one right below his chest & the other left piercing him. Raj was standing numb. He's not in position to decide whether he'd should stay or went behind the mysterious person. At last he rushed to Abhi. He realised that Abhimanyu was losing his conscious due to heavy bleeding, Raj pressed his handkerchief against his head to stop the flow.

Raj- (extremely worried) Abhimanyu! Ye tumne kyu kiya?

Raj called for medical aid & tried to make him stand on his own feet but Abhi stopped him.

Abhi- (with uneven breathing) Ra... Raj... Sorry dost... Humne aapke saath bahut galat kiya...
Jab aapko humari sabse zyada jarurat thi.... Hum aapke saath nahi the... Hum aapke gunehgar hai... Hum... Hum aapne kiye par bahut sarminda hai...
Hum aapni dosti nahi nibahh paye... Hum toh dost kehlane ke bhi layak nahi... Par phir bhi agar.... Agar ho sake toh hume maaf kar dena...

Pleading he joined his palms in front of him, Raj hold his hands.

Raj- Abhimanyu! Yeh tum kya kar rahe ho? Hum ye baate baad me bhi kar sakte haina... Dekho kitna khoon beh raha hai... Chalo hum jaldi se doctor ke pass chalte hai... chalo... Abhi!

Naina came there running.
Naina- Oh God! I'm really... Extremely sorry Sir! Mai toh uss intruder ko shoot kar rahi thi..

Raj- Baad me Naina! Pehle isse doctor ke pass le jana bahut jaruri hai... Call the medical units now... (Naina obliged) Abhi! Sab thik ho jayega...

Abhi- (his vision blurred) Nahi Raj! Hume humare gunaho ki sazaa milni hi chahiye... Humari wajah se aapne bahut kuch saaha hai... Humne aapko bahut takleef pahuchai hai... Sayad yahi humari saaza hai...

Raj- Pagal Matt bano Abhi... Kya gunnah-sazaa laga rakhe ho... Mai tumse naraz nahi hu aur na hi mujhe tumse koi shikayat hai...

Abhi- (eyes got closed) Raj! Humse galti ho gayi... Humne aapko galat samjha... Humari hi wajah se aapko sazaa mila aur aapke sath wo haadsa hua... Aur hum kuch nahi kar....

Saying he became unconscious. Raj called his name, patted his cheeks repeatedly but he didn't respond. Naveen & Gunny reached there with medical staffs. Captains & Lts also reached there. All horrified seeing his condition. Abhi was put on a stretcher & took to infirmary. Raj was about to go in search of the mysterious person, but a security officer informed him that Brig had called him & Naveen. Before they go, Raj requested Gunny.

Raj- Major! Please search the whole area... vo koi intruder nahi hai & I've seen... Usse bhi goli lagi hai... Please dundho usse... Dushman ab bhi humare aas paas hi hai...

(Gunny nodded in assurance)
Raj-(Emotionally said to Naveen) usse kuch nahi hoga na Naveen... Agar kuch hua toh... (Naina instantly looked at him & was trying to get his unsaid words)

Naveen put his hand on his shoulder & assured him through eyes that everything will be fine. Gunny found this weird.

Nav- Raj! We need to go... Don't worry... Gunny will handle here. We've to explain to Brig.

Raj nodded. Both left, after walking some distance, Naveen dialled a number & as soon someone received, he informed him about the lastest happenings & requested him to come here.
