Part 5

Abhi & Gunny were on their way to Barmer. Abhi noticed that Gunny was constantly smiling.

Abhi- Kya baat hai capt. Bahut khush lag rahe hai?
(Gunny looked towards him)
Hum kab se dekh rahe hai, aap lagatar muskuraye jaa rahe hai...

Gunny (in a serious tone)- Aapse ek baat kehni thi... Nahi actually ek favour chahiye tha!

Abhi- Favour? Ye kya baat hui? Hum dost hai na toh dosti me kaisa favour?

Gunny- Exactly! Hum dost hai aur filhal chutti par hai, toh aap mujhe mere naam se bhulaye. Ye Capt bahut formal lagta hai.

Abhi- Ye baat toh hum bhi aapse keh sakte hai na. Aap bhi kaha humara naam lete hai?

Gunny (smirking)- Meri trick mujh par hi aajmaa rahe hai, intersting! Ok toh thik hai aaj se aap mujhe mere naam se bhulayenge aur Mai aapko. Fine?

Abhi- Thik hai! Gunny.
(he forward his hand for handshake, both smiled warmly.)
Waise aapne bataya nahi aap kyu smile kar rahe the?

Gunny- kuch khas nahi bas cadets ka reaction yaad aa gaya... Jab unhe pata chala ki aap Barmer ke king hai...

Flashback....

P.... Pa..... Palace?
The cadets were continuously staring at Abhi. Abhi felt uneasy & looked at Gunny who was also confused with their behaviour.

Abhi- Kya hua.... Aap sab humme aise kyu dekh rahe hai?

Purvi (still staring)- Sir aapke paas palace hai? Kaise, matlab.....

Gunny- Isme itna chaukne wali kya baat hai? Capt Chauhan Barmer ke king hai toh jahir si baat hai palace toh hoga hi na!

This came as a huge shock for them. They shouted at the topmost.
All- king?..... Aap ek king hai?

Gunny (faking anger)- Ye kya baat hui... Aapko mujh par bharosa nahi hai?

Rummy- Nahi Bhai....(bit his tongue) Sir! Actually Humme toh yakin hi nahi ho raha ki hum ek king se baat kar rahe hai...

Abhi glared Gunny & thought "kaha fassa diya aapne?"
Gunny gave him a sorry look.

Abhi- Itna surprised hone ki koi jarurat nahi hai hai cadets... Waise bhi Army me hum sab ek barabar hai toh aap sab ko itna conscious hone ki koi jarurat nahi hai.. Just forget this! Ok?

They nodded in approval. Abhi sighed in relief & left along with Gunny. They all wished happy journey to both.

Flashback over...

Gunny laughed out remembering that & Abhi shook his head in disbelief, then he smiled too.

Suddenly Abhi noticed that there was heavy chaos on the road. So he enquired about it from a local.
He told them that some terrorists were got encountered in a nearby forest, so police had closed the road till next morning.
