Long, long ago, there were vast oceans that covered the face of earth. These oceans were filled with all sorts of things--cities, treasure chests, ship wrecks, fishes, monsters, UFOs, etc... Oh! And of course--there was water. A lot of water.

But a few decades ago, all the water disappeared, even though rivers, lakes, streams, and other small bodies of water were left undisturbed. It was only the oceans which disappeared.

No one knows how or why such a thing could happen, but there were several conspiracy theories about how the illuminati had something to do with it, or that aliens had taken all of earth's salt water for experiments, etc...

Anyway. When the oceans disappeared, everything went with it--the cities, treasure chests, shipwrecks, fishes, monsters, UFOs, etc... Trees grew and took over, turning the former oceans into dense forests filled with trees, animals, and the usual forest stuff. The only water there now were the small rivers and creeks, flowing miserably through the mud.

Due to all these drastic changes, the earth couldn't possibly be called the 'blue planet' anymore. It was just a huge space rock hurtling around through space, covered in smoke, cities, small water bodies, and shark-filled forests. Yes. Shark-filled forests--at least that's what rumours say.

Most people who go into a forest, don't return; but the few who do, come back (half dead) with their frightening stories of terrestrial sharks, which swim through trees. That's how those monstrous creature got their fame--through the survivors--as dangerous, wild, monsters; and that's how the forests got their name--the Shark Forests.

Several people ventured into the forest just to get a picture of the sharks. But all of them failed. Because despite tech in the 20th century, phones and other electronics, didn't work in the forests. Soon enough, people were becoming desperate to see these monsters, and when several million-dollar expeditions to the forest failed, they started questioning the statements of the 'survivors' who claimed they had seen the sharks. Sooner still, someone sparked a social media war over the matter. And as tensions peaked, major celebs started taking sides along with the people. This caused a major part of the film industry's economy to collapse because of the frequent 'Celebrity Wars' (the popular name for famous people fighting on camera).

Ignoring all of the above-mentioned drama was K--a jobless (broke) graduate, who had responsibilities, but liked to deny them. And like very few others, she did not believe in the existence of 'terrestrial shark monsters'...which was probably why she was currently rotting in a worn blue tent in the middle of the Pacific Forest (former Pacific Ocean), more popularly (and accurately) known as 'Shark Forest'.
