An Angel's Freedom

Chapter 2

Pit's POV

It's been months since I've defeated Hades, but weeks since  I found out that Pittoo  was working for the Forces of Nature to destroy me, or something like that. This has been bothering me a lot. Some of this just doesn't make any sense! Why does Pittoo hate me? Why does Viridi want to get rid of me even though we fought alongside each other in battle? And whatever happened to "I am Dark Pit, servant to no other than myself!"? It's like all that went down with Hades never happened!

Time Skip

"Hey, Lady Palutena," I say to her as we're eating lunch. We're having hamburgers(like always). "Yes Pit"

"Something has been bothering me"

"And what is that?"

"Why does Pittoo hate me?"

"Well, he was made to kill, you." I look down. But he knows he can't kill me, so what gives him a good reason to have it out for me. "But he can't kill me," I say with I look of confusion on my face "So why does he still want to?"

"Pit, I think he's soulless."

"Soulless?!"

"Yes Pit. He is a clone that was made to kill you. He kinda doesn't have a choice nor reason to hate you. He is made of pure evil. The only reason why he needs to keep you alive is to keep him alive."

"Then why did he join Viridi?"

"Like I said, soulless."

I thought about this for the rest of the day. I wish he didn't hate me. It would be fun to have someone to train with. Sometimes it gets lonely in this big temple. I wonder if there are other angels I don't know about.

Palutena's POV

Pit has been on edge lately. I guess he just feels betrayed by Viridi and Dark Pit. Especially Dark Pit. At the end of the war, I guess that he thought Dark Pit would be more like a brother to him. I feel bad for the little angel. He doesn't really have anyone except me and the Centurions. Maybe It's time I give him a tour of the Skyworld mainland.
