Pit's POV
I am woken up by a gentle hand on my cheek. "Good morning Pit," Palutena says quietly. I sit up. I see that Palutena is already dressed. "Good morning Lady Palutena," I say sleepily. "Hurry up, we're going somewhere today. I looked at her in surprise. We hadn't left the temple in months! "Where are we going?" I asked eagerly. "It's a surprise, now get dressed!" Palutena said to me smiling. Palutena walks out of my room and I spring up from my bed to get dressed. I open my closet to see a new tunic with a note on it saying "You might need this!" I'm so excited for wherever we're going. I've never really been anywhere except for the temple and the places I went to during the war. I get dressed and run down the stairs to eat breakfast. Palutena made an egg omelet. Delicious!
"Alright Pit, before we go I need to talk to you," Palutena says motioning me to sit next to her. "Yeah," I say sitting down. "Pit', there's something I've never told you. There is other Skyworld beyond my temple. And there.... there are other angels like you." I looked at her in shock. Other angels? I thought I was the only one. Well, I guess there was always something in me that knew that there were others out there. Why hasn't she told me this before? "Lady Palutena, why ha-" she interrupted me "Pit, I didn't tell you because I knew that there was going to be a war. I needed to keep you here to train. I didn't want other angels interfering." That makes sense, kinda. "Ok, so today am I going to meet other angels?" I asked eagerly. Lady Palutena gave me a smile and nodded her head. I'm so excited!
We arrive at the Skyworld Mainland. What a beautiful place! There were all kinds of buildings and people! This is going to be the best day ever!! "Welcome to the Skyworld Mainland!" Lady Palutena exclaims. "It's beautiful!" I say, looking at the city around me. Straight down the middle of the street, I see a big castle-like building. "Lady Palutena, where's that place?" I asked her pointing to the castle thing. "That building is the COA, Commission of Angels. I've told you how angels come to be right?"
"No, you've never told me."
Palutena bites her lip. "Well, umm, so, there are not many good humans on earth. Only the humans who lived pure lives become angels. (Kind of not really taken from The Good Place)"
I went pail. This is the first time I'm hearing this! Or is it? I don't remember. Although, I guess I also kinda always known deep down that I was a dead human. "Ok," I say shakily. Palutena continues "And that's where the human's souls are transformed into angels. Then, once the human is reborn into an angel infant, they wait to get chosen and named by a God or Goddess." There are so many questions running through my head right now. What happens to the humans that don't become angels? Well, I kinda know the answer to that one. But what happens if an angel doesn't get chosen by a God or Goddess? How does a God or Goddess choose the right angel? There are so many questions going through my head right now, but all I say is "Ok"
