I remember when I first learned about chemistry
It was a long, long time ago
I was old enough to think it
But too young to do anything
Mixtures were about to explode
In the beginning I was testing experiments
And I was amazed by the things they taught
'Bout the damn fine boys with nothing but time to kill
And how they all got my guts into knotsI'm talkin' 'bout chemistry
I can show you everything I've learned
I'm vibing off the energy
So what if I get burned?Sometime later when I was still getting clean
I found somebody I could call my own
We both were looking for somebody who could talk a lot
And didn't wanna start off alone
For a couple years we conducted experiments
And all the chemicals would get mixed up
We found that when we became interconnected
We weren't great, but sure knew how to fuckWe were talkin' 'bout chemistry
We would show off everything we knew
I'd wanna try all the things I'd ever seen
While we'd keep getting tangled up in blueWhite hot days
Pheromones in waves
Things that can't be tamed
'Til the day she exclaimed that she needed spaceWhen I'm alone and watching Tuca and Bertie
I think about all the times I got stoned
With the fine, fine women with only the best intentions
And the first ones that tend to get bonedI'm talkin' 'bout chemistry
I can show you everything I've learned
I'm vibing off the energy
So what if I get burned?
We were talkin' 'bout chemistry
We would show off everything we knew
I'd wanna try all the things I'd ever seen
While we'd keep getting tangled up in blue
It's all about chemistry
Friction in a blaze
Let's talk about chemistry
We keep crossing the rays
I'm talkin' 'bout chemistryIt's all about chemistry
I could show you everything I know
It's a mad, mad world with nothing but interruptions
And a bad tendency to explode
