-Hinata-

And just like that: day one comes to close.

The entire day, I went through online video training. Besides helping with the whole debris issue in the game I didn't get to code anything else. It was a disappointment for sure but I mean, it is only my first day.

Plenty more days for coding later.

Shikamaru turned out to be a pretty chill guy. I caught him snoozing here and there but I didn't mind. The next patch release for the game isn't until next month. Naruto must've worked him crazy and having me around really helped out. I was kind of hoping to meet the rest of the department. I guess it's a good thing I didn't since I'm not entirely familiar with the policies of the company just yet.

Don't want to make a fool out of myself right off the bat.

"Remember:" Shikamaru started, zipping up his backpack. "Bring a spare change of casual clothes tomorrow and a formal set. The troublesome thing about mornings is the meetings where our stupid boss goes on and on about what he expects. Those are the only times we ever have to be formal until otherwise advised."

I nodded my understanding. "Understood."

"Well, Hinata." My coworker threw his backpack over his shoulder. "As troublesome as it was to train you, I'm glad to have you as my partner. See you tomorrow."

I giggled. "Have a safe trip home. See you tomorrow."

And then there was only one.

I sat back down. Alright. I'm going to try to knock out as many of these videos as I could before heading home. This way, I might be able to put my hands on coding tomorrow.

Three knocks on the glass of the office caught my attention.

I looked up and recognized Sasuke, I think the head of the cyber security department. He opened the door. "Did Shikamaru already bail?"

"Y-yes. Something about grabbing dinner before the restaurant closes."

Sasuke cursed under his breath. "Damn asshole. He's my ride home." Then he looked at me. "I'll see you later, Hinata."

And he dashed off as well.

Everybody else started piling out. I was able to chat with some of the other heads during lunch and they all seemed welcoming. They waved at me as they passed. Some sticking their heads in to tell me goodbye.

Once the floor was quiet enough, I returned to the videos.

An hour passed.

Than another.

The sun has long set by now given it was starting to become winter. But yet, I still have a whole lesson to go through. I opened the link.

Oh great.

An extra five videos.

I glanced at my phone, reading the time.

It's already seven o'clock. There goes my chances of grabbing any food on the way home. Why do my favorite places have to close so early?
