To L.A. For Christmas (Kian Lawley Fan-Fiction)

chapter 9. december 25th; christmas day

I grab my things as Kian asks me to get in the car. We had a lot of fun.

"Hurry up, we'll miss it." Kian says which makes me wonder where he's taking me. I hope it's good because knowing Kian, it might not be.

"Miss what, may I ask?"

"You'll find out."

And find out I do, we watch all the lights lit outside nearly all the houses in L.A. and we see all the carollers singing the traditional Christmas songs. They are pretty good. He kisses me under some mistletoe outside a café. And then finally he takes me to a hill with a view. The view from that hill is spectacular, Los Angeles is lit up with the most beautiful Christmas lights. If we had gone up there on an ordinary night, it would not have looked this good.

"You like?" Kian asks.

"No, I love." I reply kissing him.

Then I receive a text. I take my phone out to see who it's from, ending the kiss.

"Who is it?" Kian asks me worried. I'm not sure why he is worried though....

"Umm, my ex actually." I'm confused, why is my ex, Toby, texting me on Christmas night?

"What did he say?" he's worried, and he's not trying to hide it.

I swipe the screen to open the text. It reads, 'Hey babe, I was just wondering if you wanted to come over, we could have fun like before, I miss you heaps. T xx'

I show Kian. "How long were you together?" he asks.

"Nearly two years."

"And does he know that you're here and not in Australia?"

"No."

"When did you break up?"

"Just over a month ago." I say in a small voice knowing full well that I never officially ended it. Crap.

"You're lying." he says sternly.

"Why would I lie to you Kian?" I feel like crying.

"I don't know, why would anyone lie to anyone?" he doesn't speak for a while and I don't answer his question. "Come on, let's go." he doesn't sound very happy. No no no no no no no no.

"Okay."
