Keiths pov
Keith clung to lance as he alowed himself to fall apart.. His brother had been dead for months, and he had been interacting with a fake all this time. Every fight they had was fake, ever time they made up was also fake.

He delayed their rescue of lance because he said it would be too dangerous. All this time.

Shiro took him in when everyone else gave up on him, and he hadn't even noticed. What was wrong with him?
How could he not have noticed his own brother was different?

Worse, how could he have thought that his brother would demand that they leave lance behind.

Eventually the tears stopped, the yelling stopped, and what was left was dry anger.

Some point during keiths breakdown the team had taken shiro away. Lance had stayed with him, not explaining everything just yet. Keith took a deep breath, feeling somewhat numb. The only consolation he had, was that he was going to get some vengeance.

With Keith regaining something that resembled calm and created some distance between him and lance.
"You ok buddy?" Lance asked softly, his eye full of concern.

If keith said yes, he would be lying, and anger would know he was lying because how could anyone be ok after finding out that their brother was dead the the person they thought they were all this time was a fake and-

"Keith, look at me. Tell me 4 things that you can see right now?" Lance said in a cool but commanding voice.

Keith blinked at him, not realizing his breatjing had picked up again. "Door, lights, blue eyes, tan skin." He obeyed, not understanding why lance would ask this.

"Now tell me 3 things you can feel in this moment."

The odd question pulled keith more into the present, forcing him to focus of tangible things around him. "Your hands on my arms...sweat on my face...the floor?" Keith answered earnestly, still feeling confused.

"Good, now 2 things you can smell?"

Keith couldn't help but smile at the weird question, "I don't know, sweat, blood? Um..your shampoo?" His breathing had calmed down significantly, he was actually somewhat calm. Lance seemed pleased with his answers.

"Now name one good thing about-" lamce cut himself off. "Oh, no sorry. That's for a different set of feelings haha. Um..you did really good keith. I'm so proud of you." He said in a soft voice.

Keith stared at his wonderful boyfriend, the boy he had just saved from being taken from him again. "Alright sunshine, let's relax ok?"keith said, tugging slightly on lance, the numb from earlier creeping its way back in.

Lance fidgeted, wrapping his arms around himself and looking away. He clearly didn't want to go with keith. Lance not wanting to be with keith made him feel uneasy, that had only happened when he was worried and upset over...lotor.

"Lance, what's wrong?" Keith asked, as lance was not one to speak up about discomfort.

Lance looked at keith, a guilty expression on his face, and quickly averted his eyes. "I...I want to talk with him keith." Lance said, he voice small.

Keith recalled how he clung to shiro just a while ago, how he cried into him. Keith tried to be understanding, but he didn't know if he could stand to see him. Regardless of what he could stomach, he shouldn't stop lance from doing what he wanted..but why?

Keith tried to stop the question from leaving his lips, but is came rushing out, "why?"

It came off much more harsh than he meant for it too, and seeing the way lance practically flinched made him regret it.
