Keith was training hard with the simulator, fighting bot after bot. He had been fighting for little over an hour working up quite a sweat. The fighting simulator started dropping down four bots at once. As Keith charged at 1 of them the others shot at him. The shots from the bots didn't penetrate like bullets or beams, they just kind of knocked you off your feet, still hurt though. keith landed quite ungracefully against a wall as he hit his head. He tried saying to stop the simulation, But he wasn't loud Enough. HIs vision blurred as he saw the bots heading towards him when he heard a loud voice shout.
"STOP THE SIMULATION!"
With a sigh of relief Keith dropped his head to the floor hearing footsteps run towards him. It could only be one person Lance.
"Keith, buddy, are you ok?"
Keith nodded and attempted to say he was fine, but he felt like he didn't have the energy. Fighting with everything he had, then getting thrown against the wall wasnt the best thing for him.
Lance looked on in concern as the red paladin lay in silence on the floor. He wasn't even looking up at him. He noticed a large amount of blood coming from his head. And his stomach dropped.
"Keith I need to to answer me ok?"he said gently as he scooped up his crush. He was surprisingly light.
"Are you ok? Are you hurt?" He got a small grunt as Keith pushed his face into the crook of his neck. Causing the blue Paladin to blush. He knew he was hurt, he just needed him conscious. He ran as quickly as he could to the medical hangar.Lance saw coran cleaning one of the healing pods and he called out to him. Telling him that keith had hit his head while training.
"Coran what do we do? He's bleeding a lot!" He sat him on a high table that coran had pulled from the wall.
"Calm down my boy. He was training right? The amount of blood is most likely just due to the fact that his heart was beating so fast when it got cut open, not due to the size or depth of the cut. I'll have him good as new in a few ticks!"
He started cleaning the wound and keith just made small grunts and hissing noises as he stitched it up. He covered it all with a bandage to keep it clean.
"Small paladin how do you feel?" Coran asked as he peered over keith.
He put his hand to his head. "Still a bit dizzy." He mumbled.
"Ah yes. You might have had a slight concussion my boy. Lance watch over him and make sure he stays awake got it?"
"For how long?" Lance asked, feeling nervous at the thought of being alone with keith.
"Just for the next 8 hours to be safe. We could always throw him in a healing pod but that castle is running pretty low on energy these days."
"Its fine coran. I'll stay awake." Keith got up to stand but started to wobble. Lance instinctively rushed to catch him.
"I guess you're stuck with me mullet." Lance joked, winking at keith as he did. He expected a harsh comeback but Keith just gave a small laugh. Lance couldn't help but give a genuine smile to him after.
They walked towards Lance's room, Keith's arm around his shoulders and Lance's arm wrapped tightly around his waist.
He walked past the common area and everyone saw them.
"What happened lance?" Shiro was the first to speak up.
"Ah, he hit his head while training, I took him to see coran. He said he might have a concussion so I've got to keep him awake."
Pidge chimed in, "do you want some help? You know how...distracted you can get." She made eyebrows at me and I blushed and shouted what ever are her. Pulling keith along.
