Eddie woke up to harsh knock on his door. The 15 year old boy gets up to see Richie at his door. Richie was dressed in yellow overalls with flowers on the pocket. Eddie squinted his eyes at the bright light.
"Richie, what are you doing here?" Eddie looks over to his clock by his bed seeing it's only seven in the morning
"Bill sent me to get you. We're going out for ice cream" Richie looked down at the small boy.
Eddie noticed how Richies smile was always calm yet energetic. It seamed to Eddie that even though Richie was softer than a blanket he still swore like a sailer.
Eddie sighed and got into a black flannel with distressed jeans. Richie watched as Eddie put on a fanny pack with his medication and as he combed his hair.
As the two hopped on their bikes Richie watched the birds and the leaves, his long hair combed gently behind his ear made it hard to admire the sky but he still managed.
"So where exactly are we going?" Eddie asked wanting to know if he'll need to go far.
"Bill said to meet them at the quarry, then we will go from there."
Eddie sighed as he petalled. He looked over to see that Richie had put a little bit of blush on his nose and his cheeks making him look as girly as ever.
I could never pull that off Eddie thought to himself knowing that if he wanted to he probably could just his style doesn't go with it.
As they arrived at the quarry Bill and Stan look over as if they weren't expecting the two.
"H-huh-hey guys-s"
"Where were y'all? We've been waiting for a little while" Stan said as he glared at them.
Ben, Mike and Bev greated them with welcoming smiles as they threw left over poppers on the ground. Richie liked the satisfying "pop" of them as they hit the ground
"We where at your moms house, Stan" Richie replied with a playful smile that the losers have gotten used to.
The losers petted off fast. Richie humming a small tune that seemed to comfort every one. Rich took note of how all of the losers' hair seemed to brighten in the sun, the ones with deep black hair suddenly had dark brown, the losers with brown hair seemed to have dirty blond. And Bev's became a lighter red, almost strawberry blond.
The losers all dropped their bikes as Stan gently made sure his never fell. They ran into the ice cream parlor one after another. Richie got bubble gum, Stan got strawberry shortcake, Eddie got blue moon, Mike got cookie dough, Bev and Bill got chocolate, and Ben got Vanilla bean.
As they sat in the beating sun they laughed and joked. Richie was mainly getting the laughed out of them but everyone had at least one good joke.
Eddie checked the time. Suddenly it's 8:30 now. The scoffed down the last of their cones. Richie's face stained with pink medicine.
"E-eddie Rr-Richie co-come on nn-now" Bill called. The two had to come back down to earth as they didn't realize they where leaving yet.
"In a minute. I have to go clean up" Richie said as he could feel the ice cream on his face becoming sticky.
"Richie, ill help you. You can't clean yourself properly. In fact you still have your breakfast on your chin." Eddie said in a mocking tone.
The two went into the store and grabbed some of the paper towels. Richie was propped up on the sink with his lanky body dangling on the edges. As Eddie scrubbed at his face he thought how could such a small boy be so harsh. He reached up to scratch at the now irritated area on his face. Eddie seemed to only care about getting Richie's face cleaned than if he was hurting him.
"Hey, you forgot to put hearts under your eyes!" Richie giggled at how Eddie forgot to put on such an iconic look for Eboys. Now Eddie didn't like the term "eboy" as much as he didn't like being called nick names.
Eddie liked Richies giggle. It brought a comforting sense to him. Richies glasses seemed to have protected his eyes pretty well but Eddie didn't want Richie to get and eye infection.
Richie watched as Eddie slid his glasses off his face and onto his shirt. Eddie scrubbed at his eye until it seemed like a bruise was forming.
Once Eddie was content with how clean Richie's face was they got on there bikes and petaled to the quarry.
