Two

Richie watched as Eddie jumped down into the water splashing the others. How is he so brave? Richie thought to himself. He felt his face get all red but hoped that they would mistake it for his blush as he jumped down into the water. With a loud splash Richie fell into the water as he gasped for air and pushed his hair back you could see his smile go from one ear to another. A giggle that almost sounded as a small child was near left Richie's mouth.
Eddie went under the water and swam towards Richie giving him a quick squeeze in his sides. He comes up and laughs at how Richie flinched.
"You bastard!" Richie sternly calls Eddie.
The rest of the losers laughed. Eddie felt... strange. Normally he wouldn't like being called a bastard but when Richie said it... it was different, was it that he knew Richie? Or was it because there was a reason to be called a bastard? Either way it was strange how he didn't mind it.
They all went back to where their stuff was and dried off.
"Hey Mike! Catch!" Bev exclaimed with a cheerful voice tossing an imaginary ball at Mike. Mike caught it and threw it at Bill then Ben then Eddie then Stan and finally Richie and repeat.
Later that night Richie lay staring at the ceiling. His room more boyish than he would like it to be but his mom wouldn't let Him change it to light blue with a pink rug and white bed covers, instead he had dark blue walls with foot balls and foot ball players stuck to the wall.
Eddie. He couldn't get his name out of his head. Why? What was wrong with him? He's known the kid since they where five! Why does he feel this way now? Roses are red, violets are blue, why do I love you? It was almost ten when he thought this realizing how in love he really is with Eddie.
Eddie's words seemed to echo in his mind. Richie closed his eyes and mumbled "Eddie" until his name was finally out of his head.
