Chapter 1🦋

kj's pov

As I rolled out of bed today I got ready for the party Mikey and Bronny were throwing. So I just threw on some sweats and a lakers shirt for now. I ran down the hall to my sisters room and woke her up too. I put her in a cute outfit cause you know I can't be having her look like a bum. As I was braiding her hair I heard the door open and I just assumed it was either Bronny or Mikey bringing in something for the party so I let it be. As I finish Kennedy's hair she started whining so I took her down stairs for breakfast.

As I'm making breakfast for me and my sister I hear my mom walk down stairs. "Heyy mommy" I said as she responded with a "hey sweetheart". From there me and her made breakfast and we talked about this upcoming Monday. I'm ready I tried to convince myself well my mom saw right through. After a while mom and I dissuaded we'd go shopping with aunty Kim and Kylie for high school. As I Got ready for the mall I choose to see what Mikey and Bronny were so I took a peaking into there game room. I loved scaring them so I tried to scare them, key word tried. Unfortunately for me I ran into and extremely tall and fine looking man. And unfortunately for me my white self started blushing so bad I'm pretty sure I looked like a whole tomato. I looked up there stood the cutest guy in the world!! He's big lips and brown eyes starring down at me and only now I started to feel short even though I was 5'10. "I'm Joshua." He said

"I'm kJ and my bad" I said stuttering, sounding like a complete idiot.

"Nah you didn't sound like a complete idiot." Josh said and I blushed.

"I said that out loud?" I questioned. He nodded his head in response. From there I quickly walked off and hurried to my room and tried to find an outfit for shopping. But then I heard a nock at my door I opened it and soon realized that I was only in a bra and sweats. I quickly invited Josh in and told him he could sit where ever he pleased and I'd get dressed in my closet. So I quickly ran to my closet and got dressed.

I walked out and Josh was gone. So I walked out, but before I could I felt two strong toned arms wrapped around my body. I couldn't help but feel butterflies when his skin touched mine. I quickly jump and turned around only to be met with Josh. He started laughing and I repeatedly apologize for landing on his foot. He said it was cool and I told him that I was going shopping with my mom and aunts. "Hey KJ are you gonna be going to the party tonight?" Josh asked me.

I thought about it and responded to him with a simple head nod. He smiled and we walked out of my room. I walked down stairs to see my aunts and my mom sitting on the couch talking about my Grandma Kirs, but I call her KitKat for short. I gave them all hugs and we went to head out, but first I said bye to Kennedy and my dad and then hopped in the car. We had the cameras with us so it was going to be crazy at the mall.

As we were walking around the mall my phone was going crazy. I took it out of my pocket and saw that josh had followed me and both of my posts. I smiled and apparently Aunty Kylie released because she grabbed my arm and took me into Footlocker. She then bombarded me with questions like who's the boy and how long have I known him and do my parents know. I answered all of her questions and she seemed to understand that Joshua seemed like a cool and nice guy. I kept smiling the whole time and she thought it was so cute. We then met up with my mom and  aunty Kim and we chose to head back home. I couldn't wait to see Josh again. I don't know what's happening to me. When we got home I ran to my room and put my bags down and walked to the movie theater and sat next to Bronny and started messing with his hair. Josh came in a little later and he kinda looked upset. I didn't know why but I'd ask later.

It was about time for the party and my mom and dad were out of the house for the weekend, but ended up leaving Kennedy with us to make sure we wouldn't do anything bad, like throw a party. So I decided to take one for the team and babysit Kennedy so Mikey and Bronny could have a great start to high school. But when I went to her room I bumped into a large figure I looked up and there was Josh. I chuckled and said, "we've got to stop meeting like this." He laughed and agreed. I walked into Kennedy's room and saw that she was playing with her dolls. I saw that it was time for bed so I got her ready.

I tucked her in and sang to her and smiled. I turned around and saw Josh in the door frame I picked her up and took her to my room so I could get dressed and keep Kennedy asleep so she wouldn't wake up from the loud music down stairs. I asked Josh if he wanted to come into my room and he agreed. I put on some pjs and got in bed.

For the rest of the night we watched the office. I was so happy and confused maybe high school will be different I thought as a drifted off to sleep in Josh's chest.
