Chapter 4

After fourth hour, I walked to my locker. The entire time I was in class, I was thinking of ways to bring this up to Legosi. He's never met me, and I don't think he's ever seen me. So wouldn't it scare him, or worry him, if a complete stranger came up to him and they tell him they saw what he did?

I decided I would get to know him first, get close before I say anything. I'll keep a close eye on him, make sure he doesn't do anything stupid. After I put some books in my locker, I pulled out the piece of paper Bill had given me with the auditoriums room number on it. I sighed, so much for being a lone wolf, I thought to myself.

After what seemed like forever, I finally found the auditorium. I took a deep breath, and opened the door silently.

"Every dead soul is trying to kill you." The voice echoed through the room. As I walked down the isle and towards the stage, I recognized the deer from yesterday." That's what it means to defy your fate! Do not worry, leave this to me. I shall end your life, that's my duty. Until then, I won't let another soul touch you!"

"Scene!" The director called out. I've always thought drama club looked fun, but there was always more herbivores then there were carnivores. So I always thought it would be a bad idea for me to join.

"Act one scene five is good to go everyone, let's take five!" The director finished. I scanned the room for Bill, when he finally caught my eye." Bill!" I said with a wave." His head shot up to my direction, with a big smile." Emi, you actually came." He rushed down the auditorium steps, and engulfed me into a hug. Oh god this is weird. When he had let me go, I looked over to the director who was giving me a curious look." Are you the new comer?" He asked looking down at his clipboard. I gave him a nod." Hmm, well from what Bill has told me, you don't have much acting experience. So would you be okay with stage crew today, until I can find your permanent position?" I gave him another nod." That would actually be amazing." I gave him a smile.

"Perfect!" He replied." You go out the double doors to the right, and then take a left. You shouldn't miss them." I gave him another smile, before looking up nervously at Bill." Don't worry, Emi" he said putting a hand on my shoulder." You'll do just fine, I promise." I gave a nervous smile, and made my way towards the doors. While walking, I could feel the acting crews eyes on me. This is so much worse then I thought. I could see that the herbivores were whispering, some were hiding behind others. But there was one herbivore that was making me very uncomfortable. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see the deer, staring me down. His brown eyes pierced my back, like needles full of hatred. But I continued to ignore him. I wouldn't let him know what he was doing, was intimidating me.

I walked though one of the doors and turned to my left, and there they were." President cut the dress rehearsal time?" I heard a voice ask." Mhm" another replied. While walking, I could smell something familiar. A smell I've been dreading all night, all day. I looked up, and sure enough, there he was." Damn! I was going to perform a scene in the show, and now I'm on sewing duty!" The voice spoke again." Excuse me?" I said while walking up nervously. All eyes were on me, even Legosi's. Some looked worried, some looked intrigued. God when is that going to end? I gave them all a smile." My names Emi, I'm new to the club. The director said I needed to join you guys until he finds my permanent position." I peered over at Legosi, whose attention was all on me. Yes, I need him to notice me more.

The one known as Kai sat up quickly." My names Kai, this is Dom, Kibi, Fudge, and Legosi." I waved to everyone with a smile still in place." I look forward to getting to know you all, so what are we doing today?" I asked while taking a seat between Kai and Kibi. I took another look at Legosi, who was still looking at me. He was taken aback, and looked down quickly at the piece of clothing in his hand." We're sewing up ripped costumes for the play that's coming up." Dom said." Oh, and I thought the drama club was supposed to be a little more fun then this." Everyone but Legosi gave out a laugh." Uh, guys?" Legosi said stuttering a bit. We all looked over at him." This is..uh. This is Tem's" he continued, with sadness clearly in his voice." What should we do?" Kibi asked. So maybe he didn't kill Tem I thought. But last night still doesn't make sense.

"It's a little freaky to keep it laying around here, don't you guys think?" Kai asked. Well that was a little insensitive. Looking at Legosi, I could tell he really didn't want to let it go. I kind of felt bad, for assuming he killed him. But what else was I supposed to think?

"Legosi, Legosi!" Dom yelled for him." Oh, uh, yes?" He replied as he was pulled from his trance.

"Wow, I was asking if you could pick up the flowers from the gardening club, see?" Dom pulled out a sketch." I want to decorate the auditorium door with roses. You know, to go with the final scene. So would you mind helping me out?"

Damn, that means he'll be completely out of my sight." I could go with you?" I said to Legosi. He looked at me a bit surprised." No" Dom said." We need you here so you can get the hang of things." While looking at Dom, I could feel Legosi's eyes on me, it made me a little nervous." Kibi, why don't you go with Legosi?"

So much for keeping an eye on him I thought. This is going to be harder then I thought
