"Heather, wake up honey."
I opened my eyes to see her face. "Mom," I whispered with tears forming in my eyes.
She smiled at me, "How's my angel?"
"I miss you so much," I cried.
"Don't worry, we'll see each other again soon," she said, gently caressing my face. The palm of her hands were warm, but her fingertips were cold.
"I want to go home," I cried, "I jus want to be with you and dad."
"I know sweetie, and I'm so sorry you had to see us go like that."
"I didn't even get the chance to say goodbye. You were both taken from me!" I said with my fists balled up and tears of anger falling from my eyes.
"Even though we're both gone Heather, we're still with you in spirit."
I broke down crying, because it still felt surreal. My mom's dead but she's right here talking to me.
"Heather, I don't have much time, so I need you to calm down."
I took a few deep breaths and tried to calm down.
"You'll be getting out soon, but you need to know something."
I gave her a look of confusion.
"You'll be going to live with my sister in Ohio. Heather this is very important okay." She held my face in both of her hands, the image of her was slowly fading away. "Do not trust everyone you encounter, even..."
She disappeared.
"Mom? MOM?!" I shouted trying to call her back, but instead was met by a colder bright light shining in my face.
The security guard walked over to me from the doorframe and grabbed me by the arm. "Can you try to stay out of here for at least one night?" She mumbled, practically dragging me back to my cell.
I rolled my eyes and went to lay down on my cot. I looked around, but didn't see Eleanor. I closed my eyes to try and get some sleep, but all I could think about was what my mom said.
Who couldn't I trust? Who am I supposed to watch out for? Not Eleanor right? I mean, I just met her two days ago, so I don't trust her, but I don't not trust her.
A/N: Yeah I'm gonna end the chapter here. It is a little late right now and I'm running out of juice (creativity and energy), but I really needed to give y'all something to read. Another update will be coming soon...hopefully a much longer chapter. K bye.
