After another cold night in hell, and what felt like five minutes of sleep, I woke up with a major headache...again. Only this time, it wasn't really from being sick or anything, I just spent most of the night thinking about the dream I had with my mother. Was it just something I was making up in my head? It felt too real for it to not be true. Who was it that my mom was trying to warn me about?

"Hey you!"one of the guards shouted, snapping me out of my thoughts, "Get up and head outside!"

Agitated, I got up and made my way outside to the courtyard. I saw Blaire and Tif walking with each other. When Tif looked up and saw me, she motioned for me to join them.

"You look like shit," Blaire said.

"I feel like shit," I said.

"Yeah," Tif said with a nod, "the box will fuck you up like that in just a few hours."

"You've been there before?" I asked her.

"Yeah, quite a few times actually. One time, they left me there for four days. I was going batshit crazy."

"Well duh," Blaire said "they don't let you do anything in that rathole."

"What's the purpose of it anyway?" I asked, "We're already being punished by being locked up in an animal cage. What's being locked in a smaller cage going to do besides make someone go crazy?"

"Yeah," Tif said, "You got a point."

Just as we were about to sit down on a bench, we heard someone scream.

"What the hell was that?" I asked. A few seconds later, I see a girl getting tased from trying to climb the fence. She almost made it over, but must've forgotten the top of the fence has barbed wires.

"Damn," Blaire said in shock, "That's the fifth time this month."

""WHAT?!" I asked in amazement.

"Yeah," Tif said, "The girl is psycho. Last week, before she tried jumping the fence again, she snuck behind a guard and beat her over the head with a rock."

"Has she been in the box?" I ask.

Tif nodded. "They kept her in there for almost a month one time."

"But like you said earlier," Blaire said, "That doesn't do anything but make you crazier."

Although the girl was clearly insane, I felt the need to know more about her, but I'd have to ask her when the time was right.

"What's her name?" I ask.

Tif shrugged her shoulders and looked at Blaire to see if she knew.

Blaire shook her head, "Honestly, I don't know. We just call her Bananas."

"Surprisingly, she just went with the name instead of beating someone over the head like she did that security guard," Tif said while laughing.

Bananas...
