She's Back

Maleficent's POV

Starting that dreadful day my back-stabbing, 'good' daughter won that little staring contest and I was turned into a teeny-weeny lizard, I have let everyone believe Fairy Godmother's lie about me turning the size of 'the love in my heart,' or whatever she called it. Let's be honest, she has NO idea about my powers, it was just a silly guess of hers. Obviously, I love evil. I couldn't live without it. I would rather dispose of my own daughter than lose my title, 'The Mistress of Evil.'

So no, I didn't turn into a stupid little lizard from the 'size of love in my heart,' I turned into the weakest form of myself, which happens to be a little lizard. I, of course, have the power to change back into my humanoid form, or into my favorite form of myself, the dragon. 

So, now you may be wondering why I didn't just turn into my human form and run away. Well, I decided that it was better to just play Aurodon's little game. Instead of locking me up somewhere I couldn't escape from, I was instead put in a little glass prison in my own daughter's room. This was, honestly, the worst type of prison. I had to watch her and all her back-stabbing friends from the Isle love their lives here in Aurodon. I was forced to watch my own daughter fall in love with the freakin' King. I was fed these little crunchy bugs. It was almost worse than the Isle. 

Yet, as time passed, I realized that Mal was unable to be happy here. The way she used spells to change her appearance and finish tasks given to her, I could tell she was almost ready to break. One day, she was in her room with the Evil Queen's daughter, Evie. It appeared they were working on this big puffy yellow and blue dress, most definitely NOT Mal's style. I could tell she wasn't completely happy here. In fact, she had completely changed from the girl she was on the Isle. 

One day, she ran into the room, her eyes glowing our signature green. I saw her stabbing holes into a little box with a pencil. She then came over and grabbed me from my little glass prison. I went for a very bumpy ride in the box, sunlight streaming in from all of the holes in the top. Once we reached our final destination, I was quickly released from the box. I was on the Isle! I quickly scurried away into a corner.

I tried turning back into myself, but couldn't. I was stuck as this puny little lizard. I scurried across the Isle, hiding in shadows and making my way back to where I lived with the Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella. Once I arrived, I decided to continue hiding in the shadows. It was better for nobody to know I was there. 

I stayed in the shadows for months. I watched on the T.V. as Mal turned into a dragon in order to fight Ursula's daughter, who could apparently turn onto a giant with tentacles. I watched as Mal and all the rest of them graduated from Aurodon Prep. I watched through my window all the children excitedly dancing around the Isle, speaking of how they wanted to go to Aurodon. Then, I watched as the King asked Mal to marry him. Then, I watched her say Yes!?  I couldn't believe it. My daughter was to be Queen of Aurodon. 

They then came over to the Isle in order to pick up a few more Villan's children to bring them back to Aurodon, the poor souls. I couldn't understand how someone would want to live there. Once they returned to Aurodon, the news feed started getting interesting. Somebody had stolen my Scepter. There was a sleeping spell going across the land... my sleeping spell. According to the news, the person who had done this was the daughter of Sleeping Beauty. How the tables have turned. 

I watched as all of Aurodon fell asleep, but then the T.V. went black. I decided to just wait until the news came back on to see if this was the right time for me to go back and reign since the kingdom would be in a weakened state. Once the news started up again, it was said my own daughter had saved the day. Again. Ugh. 

A week passed since the Audrey girl had tried to ruin the kingdom and they were all back in a state of celebration. Celebration of my daughter, actually. Disgusting. Then, Mal did something interesting. She brought the barrier down. I crawled outside, and there was the sun shining down on me. There was a giant bridge spanning the length from the Isle to the mainland. I crawled down to the street, crawling on the walls until I reached the bridge.

Singing and dancing were going on. People from the Isle seemed excited and happy to go over to Aurodon. I could feel my powers returning to me, and I knew that after what felt like a century, I could finally stop being this little lizard. I climbed onto the bridge, crawling upside-down across the underside until I reached Aurodon. I quickly scampered off into the woods, ready to put a plan in place to ruin this happy little kingdom.
