We just moved to our newly bought house. My mom, my dad, and I. I am enjoying it already because I met so many people, including Jake, since the first day we got to Covington.
Covington is a really nice town. It has its own park, its own market, its own chapel, and its people are really nice. Every single one I saw today keeps smiling at me which I truly adore. I didn't know Covington would be like this. It was so much better than I envisioned it to be. I thought it would be hard to leave the Folonia States, I was 'kind of' raised there. Until now, I am already 6 years old, we move here to Covington.
Let's talk about Jake. He is a smart, tall, and chivalrous guy that I met the first time we went here. We were closest of all friends. Jake is 9 months older than me. We were inseparable from each other. Every day, I will ask my mom, like clockwork, if we can go to Jake's house since he's just living next door. In fact, she and Jake's mom are pretty good friends too! They gossip about the happenings in this new town.
Yesterday, we decided that we will go to the park and buy some toys & ice cream and also to enjoy the last bit of summer vacation because the next day after tomorrow is the start of the school year. And so today, we are walking at the park when I saw a cute little Siberian Husky walking in the park.
"Jake, look at that!" I shouted at Jake while his mom holds his hands and we're walking in the park. The husky really looks good. I want one.
"When we grow older, we will buy one of those as a symbol of our never-ending friendship!" Jake said as he held out his pinky finger waiting for me to cling mine into his, making a pinky promise.
"Pinky swear?" I asked.
"Pinky swear," he answered.
I wish... I wish Jake will never break our promise. I look up to that.
I'm going to start schooling again tomorrow. Thank God, Jake is one of my classmates. It won't be hard moving to a new school because I had made friends ahead of time. Something that I've never done before.
"We have walked so much, I think that is enough for the both of you to get ready for school tomorrow?" my mom asked me. Jake and I agreed, so we finished our ice cream and cleaned ourselves with baby wipes.
After all of that, we walked back home and prepare for a good night's sleep for school tomorrow.
